ZAZZARONI: "FATTE PRESSIONI AFFINCHÈ PARATICI NON ANDASSE AL MILAN"

Fabio Paratici sembrava ormai destinato a diventare il nuovo direttore sportivo del Milan, ma all’improvviso tutto è sfumato. Il club rossonero ha riaperto la ricerca per questa figura chiave proprio quando sembrava aver trovato nell’ex dirigente di Juventus e Tottenham il profilo ideale per ripartire. Sul tema è intervenuto anche Ivan Zazzaroni, che ha dedicato l’apertura dell’edizione odierna del Corriere dello Sport a questo intreccio di mercato:

"AIle 12 domande che posi un mese fa a Giorgio Furlani su proprietà del Milan e derivati aggiungo la tredicesima, sicuro che presto o tardi l'ad soddisferà la curiosità (legittima) più dei tifosi che mia, soprattutto dopo i deliri di questa stagione. Caro Furlani, quando cominciò a parlare con Paratici per portarlo al Milan ignorava il fatto che la squalifica dell'ex ds della Juve si sarebbe esaurita il prossimo 20 luglio? Visto che ne era al corrente anche Paolo, il portiere del mio condominio in Brianza, mi sorprende che abbia sviluppato per mesi la trattativa, fino all'accordo conclusivo, per poi rimangiarsi la parola con la scusa bislacca dei tempi tecnici rallentati dalla giustizia. Ho una domanda anche per Paratici: quando si è seduto per la prima volta al tavolo con Cardinale, e in seguito con Furlani, perché non ha messo subito in chiaro che avrebbe proseguito la discussione solo a patto che fossero escluse a priori eventuali scorie dell'inchiesta Prisma? Da giorni sono stra-convinto che qualcuno abbia esercitato pressioni affinché Paratici non finisse al Milan. Adesso però chiedo: una volta scontata una squalifica a tempo (non stiamo parlando di una radiazione) un uomo ha il diritto di ripartire o, al contrario, è condannato all'ergastolo lavorativo? Amarezza: ancora una volta a rimetterci sono il Milan e i suoi tifosi".

The Rossoneri have reopened their search for this key role just when it looked like they had found the ideal candidate in the former Juventus and Tottenham executive. Ivan Zazzaroni also weighed in on the matter, dedicating the front page of today’s Corriere dello Sport to this transfer market twist:

"To the twelve questions I asked Giorgio Furlani a month ago about Milan’s ownership and related matters, I now add a thirteenth — confident that sooner or later the CEO will satisfy the (legitimate) curiosity of the fans even more than mine, especially after the chaos of this season.
Dear Furlani, when you started talking to Paratici about bringing him to Milan, were you unaware that the former Juve sporting director’s ban would expire on July 20? Since even Paolo, the doorman at my condo in Brianza, knew that, I’m surprised you carried on negotiations for months — all the way to a final agreement — only to back out with the flimsy excuse of procedural delays due to legal matters.
I also have a question for Paratici: when you first sat down with Cardinale, and later with Furlani, why didn’t you immediately make it clear that you would only continue talks if any potential fallout from the Prisma investigation was ruled out from the start?
For days, I’ve been absolutely convinced that someone exerted pressure to stop Paratici from joining Milan. But now I ask: once a time-limited ban has been served (we’re not talking about a lifetime ban here), doesn’t a man have the right to start over? Or is he sentenced to a professional life sentence?
Bitterness remains: once again, it's Milan and its fans who are paying the price."
