Il nome di Granit Xhaka è entrato nei radar del Milan, ma l’eventuale trasferimento del centrocampista elvetico a San Siro si presenta come un’operazione complessa, legata a un delicato bilanciamento economico. Classe 1992, Xhaka potrebbe essere considerato una deroga accettabile, a patto però che l’operazione si mantenga entro i limiti economici stabiliti da via Aldo Rossi: poco sopra i 10 milioni di euro. Una cifra che potrebbe non convincere il Leverkusen, anche perché il club tedesco non ha necessità impellenti di liquidità. Dopo gli incassi importanti derivanti dalle cessioni di Tah, Frimpong e, a breve, di Wirtz – prossimo al passaggio al Liverpool per circa 150 milioni – le casse sono già floride. Inoltre, Xhaka, legato da un contratto fino al 2028, non è ufficialmente sul mercato.

Nonostante ciò, il Milan potrebbe avere una carta da giocare: la volontà del giocatore. Se il centrocampista manifestasse il desiderio di tornare a competere in un campionato di alto livello e accettasse la sfida rossonera, allora dalla Germania potrebbero aprirsi spiragli per un’intesa. A facilitare i dialoghi potrebbe contribuire anche un possibile intreccio di mercato: il Bayer ha mostrato interesse per Malick Thiaw, difensore del Milan sul piede di partenza, valutato almeno 25 milioni. Si fa quindi largo l’idea di un doppio affare, con potenziali sviluppi incrociati nelle prossime settimane.
