Domani sarà sfida a San Siro contro il Napoli di Antonio Conte. Così in conferenza mister Fonseca alla vigilia del big match:

Sul rinvio di Bologna - Milan: "E' stato un momento difficile da gestire. Non sapevamo se giocavamo o meno, potevamo fare allenamenti diversi se avessimo saputo di non giocare. Era una partita che volevamo fare a tutti i costi. Anche perchè cosi oggi avremmo due importanti giocatori che invece saranno squalificati"

Avere l'asterisco in classifica è penalizzante? Come si gestisce? "Per me è lo stesso. Magari penalizza chi guarda la classifica, a me non cambia nulla. Capisco però che per i tifosi sia diverso"

Il fatto di recuperare la gara contro il Bologna a febbraio falsa il campionato? "Non voglio più parlare di Bologna. Pensiamo solo a domani, guardiamo avanti"

Su Leao in campo domani: "Oggi non dico chi giocherà domani (sorride, ndr). Rafa ha lavorato bene, non c'è nessun caso. Presto ritornerà quello che tutti vogliamo che sia. Se giocherà domani? Non lo dico"

Il cambio di Leao contro il Club Brugge? "E' stata una scelta che ho fatto in base a quello che pensavo servisse in quel momento della partita. Nessuna punizione"

Sul "problema" Leao: "Che l'allenatore non lo sta facendo giocare, perché se lo facessi giocare non ci sarebbero problemi. Ma sono cose normali nel calcio: alcuni giocano, altri no. Io penso sempre a diverse cose quando scelgo. Per me questo è molto normale".

Su Calabria terzino: "Si, può giocare anche a sinistra"

Su Pavlovic terzino: "In nazionale gioca con la difesa a tre. Non credo abbia le caratteristiche per fare il terzino"

Sullo Scudetto: "Il Milan è in corsa per lo scudetto? Per me sì. I tifosi devono crederci perchè siamo forti e siamo in crescita. Possiamo lottare per lo scudetto"

Su come sta crescendo la squadra: "Il nostro focus è vedere ciò che abbiamo fatto bene nelle partite precedenti e ciò che dobbiamo migliorare. Domani sarà una partita diversa, equilibrata, contro una squadra che difende molto bene. Noi abbiamo avuto una grande crescita in termini di organizzazione difensiva. Offensivamente stiamo crescendo nel possesso in queste ultime partite. Magari domani abbiamo bisogno di giocare più negli ultimi 30 metri, perché il Napoli pressa alto e difende con il blocco basso. Noi dobbiamo migliorare la nostra scelta negli ultimi 30 metri".

Tomorrow will be the showdown at San Siro against Antonio Conte's Napoli. Here’s what Coach Fonseca had to say in his press conference on the eve of the big match:

On the postponement of Bologna - Milan: "It was a difficult moment to manage. We didn’t know if we were playing or not, and we could have trained differently if we’d known there was no game. It was a match we wanted to play at all costs, especially since today we’d have two key players available who instead will be suspended."

On Leão playing tomorrow: "Today, I’m not saying who will play tomorrow (smiling). Rafa has trained well, and there’s no issue. He’ll soon be the player everyone wants him to be. Will he play tomorrow? I’m not saying."

On the “Leão issue”: "The issue is that the coach isn’t playing him, because if I did play him, there would be no issue. But these are normal things in football: some play, others don’t. I always consider various factors when I choose. For me, this is very normal."

On Calabria as a full-back: "Yes, he can also play on the left."

On Pavlovic as a full-back: "For the national team, he plays in a three-man defense. I don’t think he has the characteristics to be a full-back."

On the Scudetto: "Is Milan in the running for the Scudetto? For me, yes. The fans should believe because we’re strong and we’re improving. We can fight for the Scudetto."

On the team’s growth: "Our focus is on seeing what we did well in previous games and what we need to improve. Tomorrow will be a different, balanced match against a team that defends very well. We’ve made great strides in terms of defensive organization. Offensively, we’re growing in possession in recent matches. Tomorrow, we might need to play more in the final third, because Napoli presses high and defends with a low block. We need to improve our decision-making in the last 30 meters."
