È la seconda settimana senza impegni infrasettimanali. Quanto le è utile?

Molto importante. In queste due settimane abbiamo lavorato su situazioni di gioco e a livello fisico dove avevamo bisogno. La risposta dei ragazzi è stata fantastica, sono allegri e motivati anche in partitella. Stiamo lavorando su cose su cui non abbiamo mai lavorato tutti insieme.

C’è ancora l’obiettivo Champions nella vostra testa?

Noi lottiamo ogni giorno per avere una rivoluzione come squadra. Pensiamo al presente, abbiamo una partita importante con il Como. Lavoriamo tutti i giorni e si vede la gioia nel farlo. Il gruppo sta bene, mi hanno dato una risposta fantastica in queste due settimane.

Dopo le vittorie in rimonta sono sempre arrivate sconfitte… Ha lavorato sulla motivazione?

Siamo soddisfatti della settimana appena passata. Abbiamo creato tanto contro il Lecce e fatto tre gol. Le altre squadre hanno qualità, ma ora il campionato è molto equilibrato e difficile.

Si parla tanto del Milan di giugno e dell’allenatore del futuro…

Non posso controllare quello che dicono gli altri, posso solo concentrarmi su quello che facciamo in allenamento. Sono abituato, è il calcio.

È una motivazione in più battere il Como domani visto che Fabregas è stato accostato al Milan?

La motivazione arriva dalla voglia di vincere contro una squadra che ha qualità. La partita è Milan contro Como, non Conceiçao contro un altro allenatore.

Rammarico per non essere stato qui da inizio stagione?

No, sapevo che sarebbe stato un periodo difficile con una rosa che aveva principi di gioco dati da altri allenatori.

Leao nelle ultime sei partite di Serie A ha inciso sempre con gol, rigori procurati o assist. Domani gioca titolare?

Leao è uno dei migliori giocatori del campionato italiano, il nostro rapporto è fantastico. È pronto ad aiutare la squadra, sia come titolare che subentrando.

Le idee per il centrocampo titolare? Gimenez non segna da un mese. Quanto può aiutarlo ad esprimersi al massimo?

Abbiamo lavorato su tutti i reparti, cercando l’equilibrio. Il lavoro di squadra è fondamentale in tutte le fasi del gioco, sia offensivo che difensivo.

Marchegiani dice che il Milan non sa difendere. Perché questa squadra continua a subire gli stessi gol?

Ogni gol subito nasce da un errore, sia individuale che collettivo. Stiamo lavorando sulla transizione attacco-difesa e sulle situazioni di contropiede. Non è facile, ma stiamo migliorando ogni giorno.

Sacchi ti ha risposto?

Questa domanda va fatta a Ramazzotti. Ho grande stima di Sacchi, ma queste cose sono per i giovani. Gli mando un abbraccio forte.

Come ha visto Loftus-Cheek?

Loftus-Cheek è al 100% dopo gli infortuni. Non è ancora pronto per i 90 minuti, ma è un centrocampista molto forte, con grande qualità fisica. Spero di averlo a disposizione per il finale di campionato.

Difesa a tre per avanzare di posizione per Theo?

Non voglio limitare la sua capacità offensiva, devo lasciarlo esprimere. Troveremo l’equilibrio per farlo essere decisivo negli ultimi trenta metri.

Gimenez può giocare con Abraham?

Dipende dalla partita e dalla strategia. Mi piace giocare con due riferimenti davanti, ma non credo partiremo così dall’inizio.

It’s very important. In these two weeks, we’ve been working on game situations and the physical aspects where we needed improvement. The response from the players has been fantastic; they are happy and motivated even during small-sided games. We’re working on things we’ve never worked on together before.

Is the Champions League still in your thoughts?

We fight every day for a team revolution. We focus on the present, and we have an important match against Como. We work every day, and you can see the joy in doing it. The group is doing well, and they’ve given me a fantastic response in these two weeks.

After comeback victories, defeats always followed… Have you worked on motivation?

We are very satisfied with the past week. We created a lot against Lecce and scored three goals. Other teams have quality, but now the league is very balanced and difficult.

There’s a lot of talk about Milan in June and the future coach…

I can’t control what others say, I can only focus on what we do in training. I’ve been in football for many years and I’m used to everything. Sometimes it seems disrespectful to those who are still here, but I’m used to it, it’s football.

Does it add motivation to beat Como tomorrow, given that Fabregas has been linked to Milan?

Motivation comes from the desire to win a difficult match against a team with quality. It’s Milan versus Como, not Conceiçao versus the opposing coach.

Regret for not being here from the start of the season?

No, I knew it would be a tough period with a squad that had principles of play set by other coaches.

Leao has contributed with goals, penalties won, or assists in the last six Serie A matches. Will he play from the start tomorrow?

Leao is one of the best players in Italian football, and our relationship is fantastic. He’s ready to help the team, whether starting or coming on later.

Ideas for the starting midfield? Gimenez hasn’t scored in a month. How can you help him perform at his best?

We’ve worked on all areas, looking for balance. Teamwork is crucial in every phase of the game, both offensively and defensively.

Marchegiani says he feels Milan doesn’t know how to defend. Why does this team keep conceding the same types of goals?

Every goal conceded is due to an error, either collective or individual. We’ve been working on the attack-to-defense transition and counterattack situations. It’s not easy, but we’re improving every day.

You should ask Ramazzotti. I have great respect for Sacchi, but these things are for the younger guys. I send him a big hug.

How have you seen Loftus-Cheek?

Loftus-Cheek is at 100% after his injuries. He’s not yet ready to play 90 minutes, but he’s a very strong midfielder with great physical qualities. I hope to have him available for the final part of the season.

A three-man defense to push Theo further up?

I don’t want to limit his attacking ability; I need to let him express himself. We will find the balance to make him decisive in the final third, as he showed against Lecce.

Can Gimenez play alongside Abraham?

It depends on the match and the strategy. I like to play with two strikers, but I don’t think we’ll start that way.
