Come hai vissuto l’arrivo al Milan?

Sono qui da due settimane. Ringrazio tutti per l’accoglienza, mi sento già parte del gruppo. Il Milan è un club glorioso, sento una grande responsabilità.

A che punto sei col mercato e che tipo di squadra immagini?

Abbiamo studiato i problemi dello scorso anno. Non vogliamo una rivoluzione, ma rinforzi mirati. Lavoriamo su ruoli precisi per essere competitivi già dalla prossima stagione.

Cosa è mancato l’anno scorso? Modric arriverà?

Mancava una leadership forte. Modric può portare esperienza e personalità. L’ho incontrato, ha ancora fame. Non sarà l’unico: arriveranno altri 1-2 giocatori esperti.

Xhaka e Jashari ti interessano?

Il centrocampo sarà il reparto più ritoccato. Valutiamo profili adatti al nostro gioco. I nomi che hai citato sono opzioni valide.

Theo Hernandez verso l’addio?

La sua volontà è esplorare una nuova esperienza. La trattativa è aperta, ma non ancora chiusa. Serve tempo.

Maignan resta?

Sì, sarà con noi anche il prossimo anno. Un club inglese si era mosso, ma non si è fatto nulla. Per noi è un pilastro, in campo e fuori.

Come hai trovato l’umore dei senatori?

Ho trovato un gruppo motivato. Anche altre squadre sono ripartite dopo stagioni negative, possiamo farlo anche noi.

Situazione in attacco: Gimenez sarà il titolare? Altri nomi?

Gimenez è forte ma serve un altro attaccante con caratteristiche diverse. Uno più fisico, che stia in area. Ci stiamo lavorando.

Che futuro per Leao? Avete ricevuto offerte?

È un campione e centrale nel nostro progetto. Abbiamo parlato con lui, è motivato. Non sono arrivate offerte concrete.

Musah sarà valorizzato da Allegri?

È un buon giocatore ma cerchiamo un mediano basso per un centrocampo a tre. Musah ha altre caratteristiche.

Come sei riuscito a prendere Allegri?

Appena arrivato, ho percepito che teneva molto al Milan. Con Furlani siamo andati a Lugano, dopo un lungo incontro ha accettato in 48 ore.

Che Milan hai in mente?

Una squadra compatta, tecnica, che domini il gioco. Per questo servono centrocampisti come Modric o un mediano di qualità.

Con Allegri si punta alla seconda stella?

Quando lavori per il Milan, l’obiettivo è vincere. Sarebbe un onore riuscirci con questo gruppo.

Camarda andrà in prestito?

Sì, abbiamo deciso di mandarlo al Lecce per un anno. Avrà un ruolo importante nel futuro del club.

Come hai vissuto l’attesa prima dell’ufficialità? Cosa dici ai tifosi critici?

Ho aspettato volentieri, era il club per cui tifavo da bambino. So che le critiche fanno parte del mestiere. Ora voglio dare tutto.

Avete un profilo preciso per i terzini? Zinchenko è tra i nomi?

Vogliamo terzini giovani e funzionali al sistema. Le idee sono chiare, nelle prossime settimane ci saranno sviluppi.

Pulisic resterà? Rinnovo in vista?

Sì, è centrale per noi. Affronteremo il discorso rinnovo più avanti, ora siamo concentrati sulla squadra.

Come si sostituisce Reijnders?

Loftus-Cheek può essere fondamentale. È completo. Cercheremo anche innesti con caratteristiche diverse.

L’attaccante in arrivo dovrà conoscere la Serie A?

Valutiamo sia in Italia che all’estero. L’importante è che abbia caratteristiche diverse da Gimenez.

Che emozioni hai provato arrivando al Milan?

Sento forte il senso d’appartenenza. È importante avere giocatori che si riconoscano in questi colori.

Cosa ti ha chiesto Modric?

Se saremo una squadra costruita per vincere. Vuole ancora essere protagonista, anche in vista del Mondiale.

Cosa ti chiede Allegri?

Parliamo ogni giorno. Sa tutto, decide con me in base alle caratteristiche dei giocatori.

Ti toccherà convincere Furlani a spendere 45-50 milioni per l’attaccante?

Non è questione di prezzo, ma di caratteristiche. Serve uno forte in area. Con Allegri stiamo valutando il momento giusto per fare la scelta.

Rapporto con Moncada?

Ci conosciamo da anni. È un grande conoscitore di talenti, lavoriamo insieme sulle scelte chiave.

How have you settled into Milan?

I’ve been here for two weeks. I want to thank the whole club for making me feel part of the group. Milan’s history brings huge responsibility. I’m here to give my all.

Where are you in the transfer market and what kind of team do you imagine?

We looked closely at last season’s problems. We’re not planning a revolution, just targeted moves. The idea is to strengthen specific roles to be competitive right away.

What was missing last season? Is Modric coming?

There was no clear leadership. Modric can bring that. I spoke to him personally—he’s still hungry. He won’t be the only one—we’ll add 1 or 2 more experienced players.

Are Xhaka and Jashari options?

Midfield is the area we’ll work on most. We’re analyzing profiles that fit our system. The names you mentioned are valid options.

Is Theo Hernandez leaving?

He wants a new experience. We’re treating it as normal, especially with a new coach and sporting director. The deal isn’t closed yet—things change quickly.

Will Maignan stay?

Yes, he’ll stay. A Premier League club was interested, but there was no agreement. He’s a leader for us—on and off the pitch.

What’s the mood among the senior players?

They’re motivated. Other clubs have bounced back after tough seasons—we can too.

What’s the plan in attack? Is Gimenez the main striker? Any other names?

Gimenez is good, but we need another striker—someone with different qualities. A real presence in the box. That’s what we’ve been missing since Giroud.

What’s Leao’s future? Any offers?

He’s a real match-winner and key to our project. We spoke with him—he’s focused and wants to see the team get stronger. No official offers yet.

Can Allegri get the best out of Musah?

Musah is a good player, but not the right fit for the role we’re targeting—a deep-lying midfielder. That’s the only reason we’re looking elsewhere.

How did you convince Allegri?

We moved quickly. After my first talk with him, I saw his desire. Furlani and I met him in Lugano, and within 48 hours, he agreed.

What kind of Milan do you have in mind?

A compact team that controls games. That’s why we want technical midfielders like Modric or a strong regista. We want to be contenders right away.

Is the second star (20th title) the goal with Allegri?

At Milan, the goal is always to win trophies. It’s an honor to work for a club with this history. We’ll give everything to achieve that.

What’s Camarda’s future?

He’ll go on loan to Lecce for one year. We believe in him long-term.

How did you handle the long wait before joining? What message to the fans who were critical?

I waited because this was the club I supported as a kid. Criticism is part of the job. I’m here to give my all.

What kind of full-backs are you targeting? Is Zinchenko one of them?

We want young, high-potential players who fit our system. We’ve studied the profiles carefully with Allegri.

Will Pulisic stay? Any plans to extend his contract?

Yes, he’s a key player for next season. We’ll discuss his renewal at the right time. Right now, focus is on the team.

How do you replace Reijnders?

Loftus-Cheek is one of the most complete midfielders in Europe. If he stays healthy, he’ll be crucial. We may also bring in players with different traits.

Will the new striker need Serie A experience?

We’re open to players from Italy and abroad. What matters is the right skillset to complement Gimenez.

What emotions did you feel joining Milan?

I care a lot about belonging. We need players who understand and feel the history of this club.

What did Modric ask you?

He asked if we’re building a team to win the league. He’s coming from Real Madrid—he wants to be a protagonist and bring leadership.

Did Allegri ask for anything specific?

We talk every day, sometimes five times. He’s updated on everything. He has clear ideas about the system and roles.

Will you need to convince Furlani to spend €45–50M on a striker?

It’s not about the price—it’s about getting the right profile. We need someone strong in the box. With Allegri, we’ll wait and strike at the right moment.

How is your relationship with Moncada?

We’ve known each other for years. He knows players better than almost anyone. He’s part of the project.
