TARE A MILAN TV: "DOBBIAMO VINCERE SUBITO. HO LE IDEE CHIARE"

Igli Tare è ufficialmente il nuovo direttore sportivo del Milan da lunedì. Dopo aver trascorso alcuni anni lontano dal calcio attivo, l’ex dirigente della Lazio ha deciso di rimettersi in pista, accettando il ruolo nella sede di via Aldo Rossi. La società rossonera sta cercando di ritrovare la propria identità e tornare competitiva, dopo una stagione deludente. In occasione del suo primo giorno, Tare ha rilasciato un’intervista ai microfoni di Milan Tv come nuovo dirigente del club. Ecco le sue parole.

Sul Milan: "Il Milan ha una storia gloriosa. L'ho seguita fin da bambino, mi ricordo i tempi di Wilkins e Hateley. La mia famiglia, tutti i miei zii erano milanisti: è stato sempre un legame forte e non l'ho nascosto anche quando sono diventato giocatore o dirigente. Tutti noi abbiamo tifato per un club, per me essere qui oggi e parlare per quel club che ho tifato da bambino vuol dire tanto. Il mio esordio in Serie A è un Brescia-Milan, il mio primo figlio è nato durante un Milan-Bologna il 13 settembre 2003. È un legame molto affettivo, poi i grandi giocatori, i grandi campioni, una società guidata con classe ed eleganza ha fatto sì che questo è uno dei club, insieme al Real Madrid, più gloriosi del mondo. Vuol dire tanto per me"

Sulle sue priorità: "Cercherò di dare tutto me stesso per far sì che questa storia si avveri anche nel futuro. È un club che ha una storia importante, dobbiamo essere bravi a trasmettere fin da subito questo progetto a tutti quanti: ai nostri tifosi in primis perché si aspettano una reazione forte ed è questo che vogliamo fare anche noi. Ho avuto modo di parlare a lungo con Giorgio Furlani e con Zlatan, ci siamo confrontati parecchio su tutte le dinamiche che riguardano questo club e questa situazione. Penso di avere idee chiare e dobbiamo essere pronti per realizzarle"

Sui compiti da dirigente: "Dobbiamo partire nella maniera giusta, le aspettative sono tante: è stata una stagione lunghissima e con tante delusioni. L'ho vissuta anche da fuori questa cosa: sono arrivato con idee chiare, con tanto entusiasmo e voglio trasmettere questa cosa qua a tutto l’ambiente milanista perché è fondamentale imparare dagli errori che sono stati fatti e cercare da oggi di partire con energia e voglia per far sì che il Milan torni a essere quello che abbiamo sempre visto nella sua storia"

Sull’ambizione del club: "Dobbiamo essere chiari su una cosa: il Milan è un club dove si chiede subito il risultato, è un club dove devi vincere. Di questa cosa qua mi sono reso conto e sono pronto ad affrontarle: dobbiamo fare sì che questo accada ma con delle idee chiare. Il mio ruolo è importante per dare le strategie giuste per quanto riguarda i giocatori e soprattutto i giovani, dare lo spazio per giocare in questo club"

Sul senso di appartenenza: "Per me l’appartenenza vuol dire tanto. I giocatori che vengono a giocare nel Milan, devono capire da subito che questa maglia ha un peso importante, questo stadio ha un peso importante. Se noi saremo bravi a trasmettere questo ai nostri giocatori, credo che avremo fatto un primo passo verso la vittoria. Tutti i grandi campioni che hanno scritto la storia del calcio mondiale hanno sempre un inizio. Ho una frase che che uso sempre: conta più quello che hai scritto davanti che quello che hai scritto dietro. Penso che così dev’essere anche al Milan"

Sul proprio approccio: "Voglio entrare in questo club con grande umiltà ma soprattutto con la possibilità di dare il mio supporto a fare sì che questa società torni ai vertici del calcio italiano e mondiale. Il mio ruolo è avere un supporto non solo dallo staff tecnico ma anche da Furlani, da Ibra e da Moncada: ritengo fondamentale lavorare tutti insieme"

Sul calcio moderno: "Il calcio si è evoluto tanto negli ultimi anni, a cicli di ogni cinque anni le cose cambiano tantissimo: devi essere bravo a essere in contatto con questa evoluzione. Perciò gestire bene sia il campo ma soprattutto la scrivania è fondamentale. Dobbiamo mettere però una cosa bene in chiaro: tutto è legato al risultato finale che riguarda il campo e la vittoria, una volta che noi abbiamo ben chiaro questo nella nostra testa, dopo è più facile svolgere il nostro mestiere al meglio possibile"

Sul Milan che immagina: "Voglio vedere una squadra che suda la maglia, che ha fame e voglia di vincere. Voglio vedere quel San Siro che esplode dalla gioia dei tifosi. Farò tutto, darò tutto me stesso perché questa cosa si realizzi perché è bellissimo vedere il popolo milanista gioire nelle vittorie di questa squadra"

Sulle sue emozioni: "Mi sento molto emozionato e molto realizzato: ho realizzato un sogno di tanti anni. Per me vuol dire tanto, significa tantissimo"

Igli Tare officially became the new sporting director of Milan on Monday. After spending a few years away from the professional scene, the former Lazio executive has decided to return, accepting the position at the club’s headquarters in Via Aldo Rossi. The Rossoneri are aiming to rebuild and climb back to the top following a disappointing season. On his first day, Tare spoke to Milan TV in his debut interview as a club official. Here’s what he said.

About Milan: "Milan has a glorious history. I’ve followed them since I was a kid, I remember the days of Wilkins and Hateley. My whole family, all my uncles were Milan supporters: it’s always been a strong bond and I never hid it, even when I became a player or an executive. We all cheered for a club, and for me to be here today and speak on behalf of the club I supported as a child means a lot. My Serie A debut was Brescia vs. Milan, and my first son was born during a Milan vs. Bologna match on September 13, 2003. It’s a deeply emotional connection, and the great players, the champions, a club led with class and elegance made this one of the most glorious teams in the world along with Real Madrid. It means a lot to me."

On his goals: "I’ll give everything I’ve got to ensure that this legacy continues into the future. It’s a club with a major history, and we need to communicate this project clearly from the start to everyone—especially our fans, who are expecting a strong reaction. That’s what we want too. I’ve had long talks with Giorgio Furlani and with Zlatan, and we’ve discussed many aspects of the club and its current situation. I believe my ideas are clear, and we must be ready to implement them."

On the challenges of being an executive: "We need to start off on the right foot. Expectations are high—it was a long season filled with disappointments. I experienced it from the outside as well: I came in with clear ideas, full of energy, and I want to pass that energy to the entire Milan environment because it's essential to learn from past mistakes and begin today with drive and determination so that Milan becomes what we’ve always known it to be."

On Milan's ambitions: "Let’s be clear about one thing: Milan is a club where results are expected immediately; it’s a club where you must win. I’m fully aware of that and ready to face it: we must make that happen, but with clear ideas. My role is crucial in providing the right strategies for player management, especially regarding the young talents—giving them space to grow and perform in this club."

On belonging: "Belonging means a lot to me. Players who come to Milan must understand right away that this jersey carries weight, and this stadium carries weight. If we manage to instill that in our players, I believe we’ll have taken a big first step toward winning. All the great champions who wrote the history of world football always had a beginning. I have a phrase I always use: what’s written on the front matters more than what’s on the back. I believe that’s how it should be at Milan too."

On his approach and attitude: "I want to enter this club with humility, but more importantly, with the ability to support the effort of bringing this club back to the top of Italian and world football. My role involves getting support not only from the technical staff but also from Furlani, Ibra, and Moncada. I believe that working together is essential."

On modern football: "Football has evolved greatly in recent years—every five years or so, things change a lot. You need to stay in tune with that evolution. Therefore, managing not just the field but also the desk is fundamental. However, one thing must be clear: everything hinges on the result on the pitch—on winning. Once we firmly understand this, it becomes easier to do our jobs to the best of our abilities."

On the Milan he wants to see: "I want to see a team that fights for the shirt, that is hungry and eager to win. I want to see San Siro erupt with joy from the fans. I’ll do everything, give my all, so that this happens—because seeing the Milan fans celebrate victories is an incredible sight."

On his feelings: "I feel very emotional and fulfilled: I’ve fulfilled a dream I’ve had for many years. It means a great deal to me, it’s extremely meaningful."
