SCARONI: "PAROLE DI BOBAN? SI FIGURI SE STO AD ASCOLTARLE"

Durante l’evento “Play for the Future”, promosso da Fondazione Milan, in collaborazione con la FIGC e con il patrocinio del Ministero della Giustizia, svoltosi presso il Teatro Puntozero Beccaria, il Presidente del Milan, Paolo Scaroni, ha rilasciato alcune dichiarazioni ai giornalisti presenti. Di seguito le parole riportate dal nostro corrispondente: “Mi trovo qui oggi per espandere un progetto nato circa due anni e mezzo fa. Si tratta di un’iniziativa che impiega lo sport come mezzo per il reintegro sociale dei ragazzi. Finora siamo stati attivi in tre città: Napoli, Catania e Palermo, con l'obiettivo di supportare quei giovani sottoposti a misure alternative alla detenzione, dunque al di fuori delle strutture penitenziarie minorili. A partire da quest’anno, però, coinvolgeremo anche Milano e ci rivolgeremo pure a chi si trova in istituti penali come il Beccaria. Il programma ha riscosso un grande consenso e ci è stato chiesto di estenderlo, cosa che facciamo volentieri. Per Fondazione Milan si tratta più di un impegno gestionale che economico, ma con impatti significativi in un ambito, quello penitenziario minorile, che necessita fortemente di supporto. Siamo fieri di aver dato avvio a questo progetto, e di avere il sostegno della FIGC. È un’iniziativa che richiede risorse limitate ma tanto impegno organizzativo, che siamo felici di garantire”.

Il Presidente ha poi aggiunto alcune considerazioni sull’operato di Fondazione Milan: “Fondazione Milan porta avanti numerose attività. In vent’anni abbiamo investito 12 milioni di euro in progetti a sfondo sociale, sia in Italia che all’estero. Il nostro obiettivo resta sempre lo stesso: impiegare lo sport come leva di speranza per comunità in difficoltà. Solo a Milano e dintorni, ad esempio, abbiamo realizzato sei campi da calcio in quartieri complessi. Usiamo erba sintetica per ridurre al minimo la manutenzione e creare spazi di aggregazione e svago, che trasformano davvero il volto del quartiere. Vado spesso a inaugurarli personalmente, e ogni volta torno a casa con la soddisfazione di aver fatto qualcosa di bello”.

Alla domanda su un commento alle parole di Boban, ha risposto con tono deciso: “Ma si figuri se sto ad ascoltarle”.

Infine, a chi gli ha chiesto un parere sul finale di stagione del Milan, ha replicato sorridendo: “No, no, no, no. Evitiamo l’argomento calcio. Avevamo concordato di non parlarne, giusto?”

On the occasion of the “Play for the Future” event, organized by Fondazione Milan, in collaboration with the FIGC and under the patronage of the Ministry of Justice, held at the Teatro Puntozero Beccaria, Milan President Paolo Scaroni spoke to journalists in attendance. Here are the remarks gathered by our correspondent: “Today I'm here to expand a program we launched two and a half years ago. This is an initiative that uses sports as a tool to help young people reintegrate into society. Until now, we have worked in three cities: Naples, Catania, and Palermo, targeting young people under alternative sentencing, not in juvenile prisons. But starting this year, we are also expanding to Milan, reaching out to those in juvenile detention centers like Beccaria. The project has been very successful, and we were asked to extend it—something we’re happy to do. For Fondazione Milan, it’s more of an organizational challenge than a financial one, but the results are deeply meaningful in the area of youth detention, which is in great need of support. We’re very proud to have pioneered this project and to have the backing of the FIGC. It’s a major achievement with a modest financial investment, but significant organizational effort, which we are happy to provide”.

He continued with some reflections on Fondazione Milan's broader work: “Fondazione Milan does a great deal. Over the past 20 years, we've invested €12 million in social initiatives, both in Italy and abroad. The mission is always the same: to use sport as a way to bring hope to vulnerable communities. Here in Milan and surrounding areas, for instance, we’ve built six football pitches in more challenging neighborhoods. We use synthetic turf to avoid maintenance, which helps create immediate gathering and recreational spaces that truly reshape the neighborhood. I usually attend the openings myself, and I always return home happy with what we've accomplished”.

When asked about Boban's recent comments, he replied curtly: “Imagine me paying attention to that”.

Finally, when questioned about Milan’s end of season performance, he simply said with a smile: “No, no, no, no. Let's not talk football. We had agreed to avoid the topic, right?”
