SAELEMAEKERS, ALLA ROMA SERVONO NON MENO DI 20MLN

Negli ultimi giorni del calciomercato estivo, Milan e Roma hanno concluso uno scambio di prestiti secchi che ha portato Alexis Saelemaekers in giallorosso e Tammy Abraham in rossonero.

Viste le ottime performance stagionali, Saelemaekers sta convincendo tutti nella Capitale: finora ha collezionato 21 presenze in campionato, segnando 6 gol (il suo record personale) e fornendo diversi assist decisivi per la manovra offensiva della Roma.

La sua crescita è evidente, così come il suo valore di mercato, che è aumentato sensibilmente nel corso della stagione. Nell'estate del 2024, il Bologna scelse di non riscattarlo per 12 milioni di euro, mentre oggi la valutazione del suo cartellino si aggira attorno ai 20 milioni.

A gennaio, il direttore sportivo della Roma Ghisolfi ha avuto dei colloqui con la dirigenza del Milan per discutere la valutazione di Saelemaekers e di Abraham, probabilmente con l'intenzione di trovare un accordo per soddisfare entrambe le parti. Tuttavia, il club rossonero intende trattare le due operazioni separatamente.

Se la Roma non dovesse presentare un'offerta ritenuta adeguata, Saelemaekers farebbe ritorno a Milanello, dove potrebbe giocarsi le sue carte per restare in squadra. In quel caso, il Milan potrebbe valutare la cessione di Samuel Chukwueze per fare spazio al belga.

In the final days of the summer transfer window, Milan and Roma completed a straight loan swap that sent Alexis Saelemaekers to the Giallorossi and Tammy Abraham to the Rossoneri.

Thanks to his impressive performances this season, Saelemaekers is winning everyone over in the capital. So far, he has made 21 league appearances, scoring 6 goals (a personal record) and providing several key assists that have contributed to Roma’s attacking play.

His growth is evident, as is his market value, which has risen significantly over the course of the season. In the summer of 2024, Bologna opted not to activate their €12 million buyout clause, whereas today, Saelemaekers' valuation is estimated to be around €20 million.

In January, Roma’s sporting director, Ghisolfi, held talks with Milan’s management to discuss the valuations of both Saelemaekers and Abraham, likely with the intention of reaching an agreement that would satisfy both parties. However, Milan is determined to handle the two deals separately.

If Roma does not present an offer deemed acceptable, Saelemaekers would return to Milanello, where he could compete for a place in the squad. In that case, Milan might consider selling Samuel Chukwueze to make room for the Belgian.
