REINDERS: "IL MILAN È COME UNA FAMIGLIA. PRESTO RINNOVERÒ E SPERO DI VINCERE"

Nell'intervista rilasciata a France Football, Tijjani Reijnders ha parlato così del Milan:
"È un club incredibile, uno dei migliori al mondo. È un onore giocare qui, soprattutto quando conosci la storia degli olandesi nel club. Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard… Sono molto orgoglioso di indossare la loro stessa maglia. La vita qui è piacevole, la mia famiglia è molto felice qui. Il cibo è ottimo, ci sono molti bei parchi... e la città respira calcio. La rivalità con l'Inter è molto forte, è bello viverla quando sei un calciatore. Fin dal primo giorno ho sentito il sostegno incrollabile dei tifosi.
Nel club sono stato accolto molto bene, soprattutto da Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Veglia su ciascuno di noi. Se un giocatore ha un problema, lui è lì per lui, gli dà consigli... a volte viene nello spogliatoio per motivarci. Ci dà forza e ci spinge a lavorare in squadra, a non essere egoisti. Ne abbiamo bisogno perché la Serie A è un campionato molto buono, molto diverso dall'Eredivisie per intensità tattica, qualità dei giocatori... In un anno e mezzo qui ho imparato un sacco di cose nuove, soprattutto dal punto di vista tattico. E la bella atmosfera nel gruppo mi aiuta.
È come una famiglia! Ho un ottimo rapporto con Youssouf Fofana, il mio compagno di reparto. Altrimenti, nello spogliatoio, mi diverto con Malick Thiaw e gli inglesi Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek. E il mio 'fratello' nigeriano Chukwueze! Vedere tutte queste culture mescolarsi insieme è una cosa affascinante".
A gennaio ho vinto il mio primo titolo (3-2 contro l’Inter nella Supercoppa italiana). Ho giocato questa partita come se fosse l'ultima. Quante volte nella vita giochi una finale? Non possiamo saperlo. Ciò che sapevamo era ciò di cui eravamo capaci. E alla fine lo abbiamo dimostrato a tutti, ribaltando questa folle partita nei minuti finali. È stata un'emozione incredibile vincere il mio primo titolo qui, ancora di più contro l'Inter, la nostra grande rivale. Ed è una bella notizia per la società, vista la nostra stagione.
Il mio obiettivo più grande è vincere quanti più trofei possibile. Perché se gioco a calcio è per scrivere il mio nome nei libri di storia. Spero che ciò sia possibile al Milan, con cui presto estenderò il mio rapporto. Essere un giorno candidati al Pallone d’Oro è un sogno, certo, perché dice molto. Tutto dipenderà dalle mie prestazioni e dai trofei che vincerò. Se continuerò a impegnarmi per essere il miglior giocatore possibile in ogni partita, a lavorare sodo per la squadra e a essere decisivo, sarà facile essere nominato".

In an interview with France Football, Tijjani Reijnders spoke about Milan:
"It's an incredible club, one of the best in the world. It’s an honor to play here, especially when you know the history of Dutch players at the club. Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard... I'm very proud to wear the same jersey as them. Life here is great, my family is very happy. The food is excellent, there are many beautiful parks... and the city breathes football. The rivalry with Inter is very intense, and it's amazing to experience it as a player. From day one, I have felt the unwavering support of the fans.
At the club, I was welcomed very well, especially by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He watches over each of us. If a player has a problem, he is there for him, giving advice… sometimes he comes into the locker room to motivate us. He gives us strength and pushes us to work as a team, to not be selfish. We need that because Serie A is a very strong league, very different from the Eredivisie in terms of tactical intensity and player quality… In a year and a half here, I’ve learned a lot of new things, especially from a tactical perspective. And the great atmosphere within the group helps me.
It feels like a family! I have a great relationship with Youssouf Fofana, my midfield partner. Otherwise, in the locker room, I have fun with Malick Thiaw and the English players Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. And my ‘brother’ from Nigeria, Chukwueze! Seeing all these cultures blend together is fascinating."
In January, I won my first title (3-2 against Inter in the Italian Super Cup). I played that match as if it were my last. How many times in life do you get to play a final? We can never know. What we did know was what we were capable of. And in the end, we proved it to everyone, turning around that crazy match in the final minutes. It was an incredible feeling to win my first title here, even more so against Inter, our biggest rival. And it's great news for the club, given our season.
My biggest goal is to win as many trophies as possible. Because if I play football, it’s to write my name in history books. I hope I can do that at Milan, with whom I will soon extend my contract. Being a Ballon d’Or candidate one day is a dream, of course, because it means a lot. Everything will depend on my performances and the trophies I win. If I continue to push myself to be the best player I can be in every match, work hard for the team, and make an impact, then being nominated will come naturally."
