Il nuovo numero 12 del Milan, Adrien Rabiot, ha rilasciato un’intervista a Claudio Raimondi di SportMediaset durante l’incontro con i sostenitori rossoneri al Flag Ship Store di via Dante.

Soltanto tre partite e sei già l’idolo dei tifosi
"Tutto questo mi piace, il rapporto con i tifosi è molto importante. È vero che sono arrivato da poco, ho già fatto tre partite. Abbiamo vinto, c'è entusiasmo, la gente è contenta e mi fa piacere".

La tua esperienza l’hai messa subito al servizio della squadra
"Come ho detto prima conosco bene il mister, tutto lo staff, il modo di lavorare, di pensare, la mentalità dello staff. Quindi è stato abbastanza facile inserirmi in questo gruppo. Poi è vero che a livello fisico non ero pronto perché prima del Bologna non avevo giocato una partita per un mese quasi, ma c'era tanta voglia, entusiasmo, poi sto continuando a lavorare bene per ritrovare la forma. Sto bene ma ovviamente posso ancora migliorare. Tutto bello, sono molto contento di quello che è successo e sta succedendo".

In cosa è cambiato Allegri? Anche il vostro rapporto?
"Abbiamo lo stesso rapporto, anche dopo la Juve ci siamo sentiti. Lui è uno che è molto legato alla gente, ai suoi giocatori, e quindi ci siamo sentiti anche fuori. Poi è vero che mi ha chiamato tutta l'estate. Ci siamo parlati più di una volta, poi quando è successo quello che è successo a Marsiglia mi ha richiamato subito per dirmi di venire qua. Ma già prima voleva farmi venire qua a Milan".

Sta nascendo qualcosa di importante? È quello del Milan uno dei reparti di centrocampo più tecnici della Serie A?
"Si, sicuramente. Siamo giocatori veramente forti, come Modric ovviamente, come Ricci che è un giocatore forte e bravo. Fofana anche lui che ha gamba, potenza. Ruben (Loftus-Cheek, ndr). Jashari non lo conosco ancora bene ma sembra essere un ottimo giocatore. Quindi abbiamo qualità, lì anche davanti. Cercheremo di essere solidi perché è quello che secondo me è la cosa più importante. Poi da qui, con la squadra e la qualità faremo tanti gol".

Allegri ti chiede il gol?
"Dalla Juve mi chiede molto su questo aspetto. Due anni fa, l'ultimo anno alla Juve ho fatto molto bene a livello di gol e assist. L'anno a Marsiglia 10-11 gol ed anche assist. Mi piace inserirmi, far gol, poi non è una cosa che mi ossessiona, ma so che per un giocatore come me, mezzala, è importante. Poi dopo se facciamo gol e vinciamo le partite a me sinceramente non importa chi fa gol".

Domenica Milan-Napoli: quanto la sentite e quanto è importante battere i campioni d’Italia?
"Sicuramente è una gara importante. Non è la partita più importante della stagione, ma è importante a livello di motivazione. Non c'è niente da dire, perché l'abbiamo. Ma prepariamo le partite una alla volta. Quello che mi piace del mister è che lui prepara la gara contro il Lecce in Coppa Italia come prepara la gara contro il Napoli, con lo stesso entusiasmo, voglia. Quindi sul questo penso sia la cosa giusta e giocheremo ovviamente per vincerla. Ma non dobbiamo pensare che se vinciamo, pareggiamo o perdiamo il campionato è finito. Il campionato è lungo, sarà difficile, ma possiamo continuare a vincere e questo è importante anche per la fiducia, per i giovani che sono qui, per il nostro percorso".

Il Milan lotterà per lo scudetto?
"Su questo vediamo le partite una dopo l'altra e poi vedremo a febbraio, marzo, dove siamo. Sappiamo che dobbiamo lavorare e far crescere tanti giocatori, creare questo gruppo. C'è entusiasmo ma non vogliamo mettere la pressione, dire queste parole. Ci sono squadre forti, come il Napoli che secondo me che ha vinto l'anno scorso, quindi è la squadra più forte d'Italia, ma sicuramente questo lo posso dire: lotteremo per fare il meglio. Lo prometto".

Cavallo pazzo è tornato?
"Sisi, cavallo pazzo è tornato. Ma questo mi ha seguito anche in Francia, mi hanno chiamato anche il "Duca". Questo mi fa piacere, molto".

Cavallo pazzo in gol col Napoli?
"Speriamo".

Only three matches and you’re already the fans’ idol
"I like all of this, the relationship with the fans is very important. It’s true that I arrived recently, but I’ve already played three matches. We won, there’s enthusiasm, people are happy and that makes me feel good."

You immediately put all your experience at the service of the team
"As I said before, I know the coach well, all the staff, their way of working, their mentality. So it was quite easy to settle into this group. Then it’s true that physically I wasn’t ready because before Bologna I hadn’t played for almost a month, but I had a lot of desire, enthusiasm, and I’ve kept working hard to regain form. I feel good but obviously I can still improve. Everything is great, I’m very happy with what has happened and is happening."

How has Allegri changed? And has your relationship with him changed as well?
"We have the same relationship, even after Juve we kept in touch. He is someone very close to people, to his players, so we also spoke outside. Then it’s true that he called me all summer. We talked more than once, then when what happened in Marseille happened, he immediately called me again to tell me to come here. But even before, he already wanted me to join Milan."

Is something important being built? Is Milan’s midfield one of the most technical in Serie A?
"Yes, definitely. We are really strong players, like Modric of course, like Ricci who is a very good and strong player. Fofana also, who has pace and power. Ruben (Loftus-Cheek, ed.). Jashari I don’t know well yet but he seems to be an excellent player. So we have quality, also up front. We will try to be solid because in my opinion that’s the most important thing. Then from there, with the team and our quality, we will score many goals."

Does Allegri ask you to score?
"Since Juve he has asked a lot from me in this regard. Two years ago, my last year at Juve, I did very well in terms of goals and assists. The year at Marseille I scored 10-11 goals and also gave assists. I like to make runs, to score, but it’s not something I obsess over, though I know for a midfielder like me it’s important. But afterwards, if we score and win matches, I honestly don’t care who scores."

On Sunday Milan-Napoli: how much do you feel it and how important is it to beat the Italian champions?
"Surely it’s an important game. It’s not the most important of the season, but it’s important in terms of motivation. There’s nothing to add, because we have it. But we prepare matches one at a time. What I like about the coach is that he prepares the match against Lecce in the Italian Cup the same way he prepares the one against Napoli, with the same enthusiasm and desire. So I think this is the right thing, and of course we will play to win. But we must not think that if we win, draw, or lose the league is over. The season is long, it will be tough, but we can keep winning and that’s also important for confidence, for the young players here, and for our journey."

Will Milan fight for the Scudetto?
"On this, we’ll take it match by match and then we’ll see in February or March where we are. We know we have to work and help many players grow, to build this group. There’s enthusiasm but we don’t want to put pressure on ourselves or say these words. There are strong teams, like Napoli who in my opinion, having won last year, are the strongest team in Italy, but surely I can say this: we will fight to do our best. I promise."

"Yes, yes, Cavallo pazzo is back. But this followed me also in France, they also called me the ‘Duke’. I like this, a lot."
