POST MILAN ATALANTA. LEAO: "DIFFICILE SPIEGARE QUESTA SITUAZIONE. PENSIAMO AL DERBY"

Nel post partita di Milan-Atalanta, Rafael Leao ha parlato ai microfoni di DAZN, analizzando il momento complicato della squadra rossonera e proiettandosi già verso la fondamentale semifinale di Coppa Italia contro l’Inter.

"È difficile trovare una spiegazione. Non voglio venire qui a ripetere sempre le stesse cose… Da quando è arrivato Conceicao, almeno abbiamo imparato a rientrare in partita anche quando andiamo sotto. Il mister ci ha dato questa mentalità. A volte giochiamo bene e non vinciamo, altre volte il contrario. Oggi è stata una partita strana: potevamo segnare per primi, soprattutto nel secondo tempo quando siamo entrati con più grinta. Ma loro, che sono forti in contropiede, ci hanno puniti. Ora pensiamo a mercoledì: è una gara troppo importante, vogliamo andare in finale e regalare una gioia ai tifosi — anche a te (dice a Massimo Ambrosini, ndr), che sei milanista. Ma soprattutto a noi stessi, perché questa stagione è davvero difficile.”

Alla domanda sulla responsabilità in vista del derby:

“È il derby, non serve dire molto. Dobbiamo entrare in campo con la giusta mentalità e capire che questa è una competizione che va vinta.”

Un Leao diretto e sincero, che non nasconde le difficoltà ma rilancia l’obiettivo Coppa Italia come occasione per salvare una stagione piena di alti e bassi.

Speaking to DAZN after Milan’s loss to Atalanta, Rafael Leao reflected on the team’s struggles and stressed the importance of the upcoming Coppa Italia semifinal against Inter.

“It’s hard to explain. I don’t want to keep repeating the same things… Since Conceicao arrived, we’ve at least learned to come back into games when we’re behind. That’s something the coach gave us. Sometimes we play well and don’t win, sometimes we play badly and do. Today was a strange match — we started the second half with more intensity and could’ve scored first, but they hit us on the counter, where they’re strong. Now that’s over, we have to focus fully on Wednesday’s match. We want to win, reach the final, and give some joy to the fans — and to you too (referring to Ambrosini), as a Milan fan. But mostly for ourselves — this season has been incredibly difficult.”

On taking responsibility ahead of the derby:

“It’s a derby — there’s not much to say. We must go in with the right mindset and realize this is a competition we have to win.”
