Il Milan ottiene un'altra vittoria in rimonta contro il Como, conquistando tre punti fondamentali che rilanciano le sue ambizioni europee. Tuttavia, il successo dei rossoneri non ha pienamente convinto tutti, in particolare Franco Ordine. Nel suo consueto commento per Il Corriere dello Sport, il giornalista ha evidenziato le difficoltà della squadra, parlando di “Poche idee e scelte sbagliate”.

"Celebrare le rimonte di questo Milan può valere una, due, tre volte. Se invece la storia si ripete puntualmente, con qualsiasi rivale, a San Siro o in Arabia nella Supercoppa d’Italia contro Juve e Inter, a Lecce oppure a Como, beh allora bisogna fare un’analisi più approfondita. E cominciare a discutere le prime scelte del tecnico Sergio Conceiçao che si sente maltrattato dalle indiscrezioni sul futuro. Se tutte le volte, dopo un primo tempo scadente e confuso, bisogna porre rimedio con sostanziali correzioni dello schieramento per ribaltare gioco e risultato e riaffiorare sul pelo dell’acqua, c’è una sola spiegazione, pubblica e solenne: lo schieramento iniziale è sbagliato.

A cominciare dalla coppia di difensori centrali, con Gabbia e Thiaw in grande difficoltà sia nel promuovere l’uscita della palla dall’area di rigore, sia nello stringere le marcature: durante tutta la prima frazione il Como gioca a memoria, col palleggio stretto, e si procura una, due, tre occasioni da gol.

Altra discutibile mossa, quella di promuovere Musah titolare: pronti, via sbaglia, a porta vuota, un gol capace di imprimere alla sfida un diverso destino e poi, sbavando un passaggio elementare, costringe Bondo a rimediare spendendo un giallo che è poi il motivo della sua sostituzione dopo l’intervallo.

È vero: ci vuole coraggio per lasciare sotto la doccia Theo Hernandez, in sofferenza palese contro Strefezza, mentre lo spagnolo intervenuto al suo posto, Jimenez deve mettere a freno la sua indole litigiosa se vuole meritarsi qualche conferma. Poi c’è un quesito senza risposta: perché Fofana non rientra più nei piani del portoghese? È un mistero. Il francese, entrato al posto di Musah, è l’equilibratore, in fase difensiva, è autore di una serie di interventi utili e consente tra l’altro lo spostamento di Reijnders, chiave di volta della sfida.

Il deficit più allarmante di tutti però resta l’idea di calcio di Sergio Conceiçao. Con due settimane piene a disposizione qualcosa di buono dovrebbe vedersi. E invece c’è ancora un calcio approssimativo, improvvisato. Per tutto il pomeriggio umido di ieri sera, Maignan - altro protagonista in positivo - è stato costretto a lanci lunghi verso Leao o Pulisic in mancanza appunto di trame degne di un qualche apprezzamento. Dopo il 2 a 1 il tecnico si gira, esultando verso la tribuna d’onore, ma è altrove che deve rivolgere la sua attenzione. È il suo lavoro quotidiano che deve dare risultati, come gli schemi corretti nella ripresa con lo spostamento di Reijnders e l’inserimento di Pulisic. Sono loro ormai le due autentiche stelle di questo Milan. Ultimo capitolo è quello del giovane centravanti Santi Gimenez.

A giudicare dai numeri della sua esibizione, specie se confrontata con la resa ottima di Abraham, può diventare un caso. Eppure a leggere meglio la prova del Milan non è tutta colpa sua. A disposizione gli arrivano due palloni: sul primo apre a Miusah la strada del gol, sul secondo (lancio di Joao Felix) arriva con un attimo di ritardo. Due palloni utili in quasi 70 minuti sono poca roba, responsabilità della squadra che non lo coinvolge, non lo cerca e non lo trova"

However, the three points earned by the Rossoneri yesterday did not entirely convince everyone, especially Franco Ordine, who, in his regular column for Il Corriere dello Sport, spoke of "few ideas and wrong choices."

"Celebrating Milan's comebacks may be fine once, twice, maybe three times. But if the same story keeps repeating itself, regardless of the opponent—whether at San Siro, in Saudi Arabia in the Supercoppa Italiana against Juve and Inter, in Lecce, or in Como—then a deeper analysis is needed. And it’s time to start questioning the initial choices of coach Sergio Conceição, who feels mistreated by the rumors about his future. If every time, after a poor and confused first half, the team has to be drastically reshaped to overturn both the play and the result just to stay afloat, then there's only one clear and solemn explanation: the initial lineup is wrong.

Starting with the center-back pairing: Gabbia and Thiaw struggled greatly, both in building play out from the back and in closing down their marks. Throughout the first half, Como played with fluidity, moving the ball well, and created multiple goal-scoring opportunities.

Another questionable decision was starting Musah: right from the start, he missed an open goal that could have changed the course of the match. Later, a sloppy pass forced Bondo to commit a tactical foul, earning a yellow card that ultimately led to his substitution at halftime.

It’s true: it takes courage to leave Theo Hernandez in the locker room at halftime, especially since he was clearly struggling against Strefezza. His replacement, Jimenez, will have to control his aggressive temperament if he wants to earn more chances. Then there’s an unanswered question: why is Fofana no longer in Conceição’s plans? It remains a mystery. The Frenchman, who replaced Musah, brought much-needed balance defensively, made several key interventions, and allowed Reijnders to move forward—an adjustment that proved decisive in the match.

However, the most alarming issue remains Sergio Conceição's overall footballing approach. With two full weeks to prepare, one would expect to see some progress. Instead, Milan still plays a rough, improvised game. Throughout yesterday’s damp evening, Maignan—one of the few bright spots—was forced to launch long balls to Leão or Pulisic due to the lack of structured play.

After the 2-1 goal, the coach turned to celebrate toward the VIP stands, but his focus should be elsewhere. His daily work needs to produce results, just like the tactical adjustments in the second half, with Reijnders' repositioning and Pulisic’s introduction. These two have now become Milan’s true stars.

The last issue concerns young striker Santi Gimenez. Judging by his numbers—especially when compared to Abraham’s excellent performance—he risks becoming a problem. Yet, if we analyze Milan’s performance more closely, it’s not entirely his fault. He had only two real chances: on the first, he set up Musah’s missed goal, and on the second (a long ball from João Félix), he arrived just a fraction too late. Two useful passes in nearly 70 minutes are far too few—this is on the team, which doesn’t involve him, doesn’t look for him, and ultimately fails to find him."
