NUOVO SAN SIRO, SALA: "UNICA OFFERTA QUELLA DEI CLUB. LA DEMOLIZIONE SARÀ A LORO CARICO"

Giuseppe Sala, primo cittadino di Milano, intervenendo a margine della presentazione di PianoCity, è tornato a discutere del destino di San Siro, sottolineando che Milan e Inter hanno avanzato l’unica proposta disponibile. Così ha dichiarato a sportmediaset.it: "Come previsto, visto che non sono arrivate altre offerte, continueremo i confronti tecnici ed economico-finanziari con i club. Ci sono aspetti da chiarire, in primis le bonifiche: è già stato stabilito con le squadre che, se porteranno avanti il progetto, saranno loro a occuparsene. Per quanto riguarda le bonifiche, come sempre accade quando si vende e non si sono effettuati carotaggi sufficienti, bisogna valutare. Non penso ci saranno grossi ostacoli: non è una zona che ha ospitato attività industriali inquinanti, tutto dipenderà anche dal piano e dalla quantità di terra da rimuovere. Serve verificare. La demolizione di San Siro? Su questo punto siamo stati chiari, toccherà alle squadre sostenere i costi."

Relativamente al ricorso presentato dal Comitato "Sì Meazza" alla Corte dei Conti per presunto danno erariale nella vendita dello stadio, sostenendo anche che il vincolo sull’impianto sarebbe già in vigore, Sala ha chiarito: "Il Comitato sta tentando in ogni modo di fermare questa operazione, io continuo per la mia strada, facciano ciò che ritengono opportuno. Dal nostro lato abbiamo pareri legali e della sovrintendenza, quindi siamo sicuri delle nostre azioni. Le affermazioni del regista britannico Ken Loach a favore di San Siro? Ognuno ha la sua opinione, ma la questione è valutare alternative. Le squadre desiderano uno stadio, il compagno Ken Loach non vive a Milano e non conosce cosa significherebbe per i tifosi spostarsi a San Donato, che non credo sia un’opzione gradita."

*On the sidelines of the PianoCity presentation, Giuseppe Sala, mayor of Milan, once again addressed the future of San Siro, noting that Milan and Inter submitted the only offer. Regarding the complaint filed by the "Sì Meazza" Committee with the Court of Auditors over alleged financial damage in the stadium’s sale, also claiming the heritage protection on the facility is already active, Sala explained: "The Committee is trying every way to block this initiative, I continue on my path, they can do as they see fit. From our side, we have legal and supervisory authority opinions, so we are confident in our actions. The words of British director Ken Loach in defense of San Siro? Everyone has their view, but the point is to think in terms of alternatives. The clubs want a stadium, comrade Ken Loach doesn't live in Milan and doesn't know what it would mean for fans to go to San Donato, which I don't believe is a welcome option."
