MORETTO: "RINNOVO PULISIC IN STANDBY, GIOCATORE NON CONVINTO DAL PROGETTO. L'AGENTE LO STA PROPONENDO IN ITALIA E ALL'ESTERO"

Sembra esserci un'accelerazione nella scelta del nuovo direttore sportivo da parte del Milan, con Igli Tare che appare ormai come il candidato destinato a ricoprire l’incarico. L’ex dirigente della Lazio dovrà subito occuparsi di alcune questioni delicate, tra cui i rinnovi rimasti in sospeso nelle ultime settimane. A parlarne è Matteo Moretto, giornalista di Relevo, nel corso di un intervento sul canale YouTube di Fabrizio Romano. Queste le sue dichiarazioni:

“Tra i primi dossier che Tare dovrà affrontare c’è quello relativo ai rinnovi di contratto, con diverse situazioni ancora congelate a Casa Milan. Una di queste riguarda Pulisic, che pur non avendo un contratto in scadenza – è valido fino al 2027 con opzione per il 2028 – è in trattativa per un prolungamento da diversi mesi. Le parti sono vicine, si è già discusso di cifre e di un possibile adeguamento dell’ingaggio. È stato raggiunto un accordo verbale, mancano solo i dettagli finali.”

“Tuttavia, Pulisic ha chiesto del tempo per valutare con attenzione il progetto tecnico del Milan, sia per quanto riguarda il direttore sportivo che l’allenatore. Cerca rassicurazioni per il futuro. Il suo procuratore è molto attivo e ha sondato il mercato sia in Italia che all’estero. Detto questo, il calciatore ha ancora un contratto in essere con il club e, una volta chiariti gli scenari, non è escluso che si possa arrivare alla firma. Ma al momento il rinnovo è sospeso, così come lo sono – per motivi differenti – quelli di Maignan e Theo. Sarà compito di Tare trovare una soluzione a questi nodi.”

There appears to be momentum in the Milan’s search for a new sporting director, with Igli Tare now seemingly the designated choice for the role. The former Lazio executive will immediately have to deal with several delicate matters, notably the contract renewals that have been on hold in recent weeks. Matteo Moretto, journalist at Relevo, discussed the situation on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel. Here is what he said:

“One of the first topics Tare will need to address is the matter of numerous renewals, as several situations remain stalled at Casa Milan. One of these concerns Pulisic, who doesn’t have an expiring deal – his current contract runs until 2027, with an option for 2028 – but has been in talks for an extension for several months. The parties are close; they’ve already discussed figures and a potential salary adjustment. A verbal agreement has been reached, with only the final details missing.”

“However, Pulisic has asked for time to better understand Milan’s sporting project, both in terms of the sporting director and the manager. He’s looking for long-term assurances. His agent is very active and has proposed the player in both Italy and abroad. That said, the player still has a valid contract with the club, and once the vision becomes clearer, a renewal could indeed be finalized. But as things stand, the extension is on hold – as are those of Maignan and Theo, albeit for different reasons. It will be up to Tare to untangle these issues.”
