MONCADA: "STAGIONE FALLIMENTARE. MILAN FUTURO IN D? L'IMPORTANTE È CREARE GIOCATORI"

Geoffrey Moncada, Direttore Tecnico rossonero, è stato intervistato da DAZN nel pre partita di Roma-Milan:

Furlani ha definito la stagione fallimentare, è d’accordo? Dove sono stati gli errori?

“Sono d’accordo con lui, siamo molto delusi per la stagione ma ti lascia anche qualcosa per il prossimo anno, per lavorare e fare qualcosa in più. Abbiamo ancora più fame adesso. In stagione abbiamo avuto alti e bassi tra Serie A, Europa, siamo arrivati in finale di Coppa Italia… Però siamo delusi, mi dispiace per i tifosi”.

Il futuro di Conceiçao:

“Abbiamo fiducia in Sergio, ha fatto di tutto per noi. È arrivato a gennaio e non era facile, siamo qua per supportarlo oggi e a fine stagione faremo un punto della situazione, è normale. Fiducia in lui, è un bravo allenatore”.

Sul Milan Futuro in Serie D:

“Abbiamo creato Milan Futuro per creare giocatori. Abbiamo avuto sette giocatori che hanno giocato in Serie A col Milan, mai ce n’erano stati così tanti dall’academy. Giocare in B, in C o in D non è così importante per noi. Per noi è importante creare talento. È il primo anno, l’importante è creare giocatori. Il Milan Futuro giocherà in Serie D”.

Su Lee Congerton:

“Non lo conosco, non ho sentito questo rumor. Non posso dire nulla su di lui”.

Furlani called the season a failure — do you agree? Where were the mistakes?

"I'm in agreement with him. We're very disappointed with the season, but it still leaves us with something for next year — something to work on and build from. We're even hungrier now.
During the season we had ups and downs across Serie A and Europe, and we reached the Coppa Italia final... But yes, we're disappointed, and I feel sorry for the fans."

Conceição’s future:

"We have confidence in Sergio. He has done everything he could for us. He arrived in January and that wasn’t easy. We're here to support him today, and we’ll evaluate things at the end of the season — that’s normal. But yes, we trust him; he’s a good coach."

On Milan Futuro in Serie D:

"We created Milan Futuro to develop players. We’ve had seven players who played in Serie A with the first team — never before have so many come from the academy. Whether it’s Serie B, C, or D doesn’t matter much to us. What matters is creating talent. This is the first year, and the priority is producing players. Milan Futuro will play in Serie D."

On Lee Congerton:

"I don’t know him. I haven’t heard this rumor. I can’t say anything about him."
