Nel prepartita di Milan-Atalanta, il direttore tecnico rossonero Geoffrey Moncada ha rilasciato alcune dichiarazioni a DAZN, soffermandosi su diversi temi caldi, dal modulo alla situazione rinnovi, fino al reparto offensivo.

Sul 3-4-3 e la gara di Udine:

“A me il Milan a Udine è piaciuto tantissimo. Il 3-4-3 è il modulo giusto? Conceicao ci ha lavorato per un mese. Abbiamo i giocatori per farlo: Pavlovic, due terzini molto offensivi, Fofana che può coprire, Walker che può fare il terzo centrale...”

Su Theo Hernandez e il rinnovo:

“A me piace tanto Theo. So che può fare partite come a Udine anche stasera. Stiamo parlando, stiamo lavorando. Non siamo così lontani. Spero che questo modulo lo faccia diventare ancora più forte.”

Sul ruolo di Jovic e l’attacco rossonero:

“Luka tiene bene la palla e gioca. Non è tanto un 9 classico, ma lascia Pulisic e Leao liberi di attaccare la profondità. Poi c'è Abraham, c'è Gimenez, c'è anche Camarda: abbiamo tante opzioni."

On the 3-4-3 system and Udine performance:
“I really liked the Milan we saw in Udine. Is 3-4-3 the right formation? Conceicao has worked on it for a month. We have the players to do it: Pavlovic, two very attacking full-backs, Fofana who can cover, Walker who can play as the third centre-back…”

On Theo Hernandez and his contract situation:
“I really like Theo. I know he can perform like he did in Udine again tonight. We're talking, we're working on it. We’re not that far apart. I hope this formation makes him even stronger.”

On Jovic and Milan’s attacking options:
“Luka holds the ball up well and links play. He’s not a typical No. 9, but he allows Pulisic and Leao to attack the space. Then there’s Abraham, Gimenez, even Camarda: we have plenty of options.”
