Ecco le parole di Lorenzo De Angelis nel suo editoriale di questa mattina per Milannews:

"Il Milan in questa stagione non avrà avuto continuità, ma almeno è stato coerente. Da agosto a oggi la squadra di Paulo Fonseca prima e Sergio Conceiçao poi ha deluso ogni sorta di aspettativa, non lottando praticamente mai per lo scudetto né tanto meno per l’obiettivo minimo DICHIARATO da questa proprietà, il quarto posto.

Per non farci mancare proprio niente, ieri è stata sbagliata l’UNICA partita IMPORTANTE e che contava di questo finale di stagione, a conferma del fatto che fare peggio di così si poteva, eppure è ci sono riusciti.

Avete stufato!
Conquistata la finale di Coppa Italia, la Curva Sud aveva messo un attimo da parte gli screzi degli ultimi mesi tornando a tifare la squadra e lasciando da parte la contestazione contro la società. Ma è inevitabile che dopo la finale di ieri si tornasse ad urlare a gran voce “Questa società non ci merita”, “Cardinale devi vendere”. Sì è giocato con la pazienza dei tifosi ma soprattutto con la loro passione, errore gravissimo considerato l’appoggio che non è mai mancato nel corso di questa neanche deludente, ma si può dire FALLIMENTARE, stagione.

È questo il sentimento comune tra i tifosi milanisti, che si aspetterebbero una reazione d’orgoglio da parte di questa squadra e società. Ma sé questa è mancata nel corso di tutta la stagione, può mai essere che arrivi proprio adesso a giochi fatti?

Mi raccomando, va tutto bene.
Continuate a dire che va tutto bene. Nel corso di queste settimane si è aspettata la finale di Coppa Italia per cercare di tirare le somme di una stagione che già di suo non si poteva salvare per quanto visto in campo. Eppure un’ulteriore chances di rivalsa a questa società e squadra i tifosi l’avevano concessa accorrendo numerosi a questa finale. La riposta è stata però la solita: NIENTE. Persa questa finale e la possibilità di accedere alla prossima Europa League, possiamo dire che al Milan nulla va bene, e chi è a capo di questo fallimento si faccia un esame di coscienza se ne renda conto. Ma soprattutto esca allo scoperto, ci metta la faccia e chieda scusa, non a parola ma con il fatti. È il minimo."

"Milan may not have shown consistency this season, but at least it’s been consistent with itself. From August until now, the team — first under Paulo Fonseca and then Sergio Conceição — has failed to meet every kind of expectation, barely ever competing for the Scudetto, and certainly not for the minimum stated objective of this ownership: a top-four finish. And just to complete the picture, they managed to botch the only IMPORTANT and meaningful match of this season finale — proof that yes, it was possible to do even worse… and they did.

We’ve had enough!
After qualifying for the Coppa Italia final, the Curva Sud had momentarily set aside recent tensions, returning to support the team and pausing protests against the management. But after last night’s final, it was inevitable to hear again loud chants like “This club doesn’t deserve us” and “Cardinale, sell the team.”
The fans’ patience has been played with — but even worse, so has their passion, which is a massive mistake, especially considering the unwavering support throughout what hasn’t just been a disappointing season, but — let’s say it — a failed one.
We’ve had enough! That’s the widespread feeling among Milan supporters, who expected a proud reaction from the squad and the management. But if that pride never showed up all season, how can anyone believe it would magically appear now, when everything’s already lost?

But sure, everything’s fine…
Keep telling yourselves everything is fine. For weeks now, people have waited for the Coppa Italia final to try and assess this season — a season that, based on what we’ve seen on the pitch, was never going to be salvageable.
And yet, fans gave this team and club one last chance to make things right, showing up in large numbers for the final. But the response was the same as always: nothing.

After losing the final — and with it, the chance to qualify for the next Europa League — it’s clear: nothing is going well at Milan.
Those at the top of this disaster need to take a hard look in the mirror, acknowledge their responsibilities, and more importantly: step forward, show their faces, and apologize — not with words, but with actions.
That is the absolute minimum."
