Ecco le parole di Lorenzo De Angelis nel suo editoriale di questa mattina per Milannews:

Nel post partita di ieri Giorgio Furlani ha ammesso il fallimento di questa stagione, ma caro amministratore delegato del Milan, non funziona così. Avete giocato con la pazienza e l’amore dei tifosi, che l’anno scorso, di questi tempi, cominciarono a suggerirvi la strada da seguire per far tornare questa squadra competitiva, ma invece è stata fatta questa BRUTTA fine.

Certo, che ognuno rimanga al proprio giusto. È giusto che il tifoso resti tale e ricopri il suo ruolo, ma la domanda che l’ambiente milanista si sta facendo da qualche settimana a questa parte è: “Ma questi ci sono o ci fanno?”. Può mai essere che persone “senza competenze” hanno predetto qualcosa che invece chi è a capo di questa squadra e di questa società non è riuscito a fare?

Sì è deciso di puntare su Fonseca prima e Conceiçao poi, con i tifosi che nonostante avessero mostrato il loro disappunto per la decisione non hanno mai smesso di supportare i colori rossoneri, nella speranza che una tiepida luce infondo al tunnel si potesse cominciare a vedere. “SOLO PER LA MAGLIA” campeggia sull’unico striscione che viene esposto ultimamente, ed effettivamente è così, anche perché se dovessero seguire il Milan per la squadra e società che è diventato, sicuramente preferirebbero restare a casa e seguire comodamente la partita dal divano.

Adesso la gente vuole delle risposte, anche perché avete giocato con l’amore, la passione ma soprattutto la pazienza di questa gente, e neanche un’ammissione di colpa da parte dell’AD Furlani potrà quanto meno cominciare a ricucire un rapporto oramai ai minimi storici. Servono i fatti per riconquistare la fiducia della propria gente. Basta parole, che queste se le porta sempre via il vento.

In yesterday’s post-match comments, Giorgio Furlani admitted the failure of this season. But dear CEO of AC Milan, that’s not how this works.
You’ve played with the patience and love of the fans — the same fans who, around this time last year, had already begun suggesting the path you should have taken to make this team competitive again. Instead, we’ve ended up with this terrible outcome.

Of course, everyone should stay in their own lane — it’s right for fans to remain fans and play their role.
But the question circulating in the Milan fan base for several weeks now is:
“Are these people clueless, or are they just pretending to be?”
How can it be that people “without official credentials” foresaw something that those in charge of this team and this club failed to anticipate?

You chose to go with Fonseca first and then Conceição, and despite fans showing clear disapproval, they never stopped supporting the red and black colors, holding on to the hope that a faint light might finally appear at the end of the tunnel.
“ONLY FOR THE SHIRT” is what’s written on the only banner still being displayed these days — and that really says it all.
Because if fans were to support Milan based on what the team and the club have become, they’d rather stay home and watch the game from the couch.

Now the people want answers — because you’ve toyed with their love, their passion, and above all, their patience.
And not even an admission of guilt from CEO Furlani is enough to begin repairing a relationship that has hit rock bottom.
What’s needed now are actions to win back the trust of the supporters. Enough with the words — words are always blown away by the wind.
