MILAN UDINESE 1-0. CHUKU, UN ROSSO, TANTA SOFFERENZA

Da qualche tempo a questa parte poter seguire rilassati una partita del Milan è un lusso che il tifoso rossonero non può permettersi.

Non fa eccezione la partita di questa sera, che vede il Milan uscire con i tre punti da un San Siro piovoso ma scaldato da oltre 70 mila spettatori.

La squadra di Fonseca, che per l'occasione e forse anche memore di Firenze decide di relegare alla panchina Leao, Tomori e Abraham, scende subito in campo con il piglio giusto regalandosi dopo appena 13 minuti il gol dell'1-0.

A siglare la rete del vantaggio rossonero è Chukwueze su assist del solito sempre presente Pulisic.

Partita che sembra in discesa, con un Milan in controllo e un'Udinese che appare poco capace di imporre il suo gioco.

Come però detto in apertura seguire una partita comodi e rilassati è un lusso troppo grande per chi tifa questa squadra. Al 39' l'arbitro Chiffi, che nel match fischierà 3 soli falli contro il Milan sanzionandoli però con altrettanti cartellini, punisce Reijnders per fallo (che di fatto poi si dimostra uno scontro non volontario) da ultimo uomo.

Senza alcuna riflessione nè consultazione con il Var, il direttore di gara estrae deciso un cartellino rosso che agli occhi di tutti appare decisamente frettoloso e soprattutto troppo severo.

Da lì la partita inesorabilmente si complica, con un Milan costretto a difendersi per oltre 60 minuti (50 regolamentari più un recupero monstre di quasi 12 minuti) dagli assedi di un'Udinese deciso a voler uscire ancora una volta da San Siro con punti in saccoccia.

Il Milan rischia, soffre e si sacrifica senza però mai piegarsi alla difficoltà. La difesa scricchiola in un paio di occasioni ma viene salvata due volte dal Var che annulla per due fuorigiochi oggettivamente millimetrici (e questa regola, per essere del tutto oggettivi e sinceri, andrebbe ridiscussa e cambiata) il pareggio dei friulani.

Lo spavento maggiore è proprio al 95'. In pieno recupero all'ennesimo assedio bianconero la difesa del Milan pasticcia e regala a Kabasele il gol dell'1-1. Pareggio annullato dopo un lungo consulto Var proprio per fuorigioco di un mezzo scarpino.

Alla fine però è il risultato quello che conta. E i rossoneri tengono botta in 10 fino al triplice fischio finale che sancisce la vittoria per 1-0 e ci consegna i tre punti in palio.

Adesso è testa a martedì per l'impegno in casa con il Club Brugge.

Una partita che è diventata assolutamente decisiva per il cammino in Champions dei i ragazzi di Fonseca, che non hanno alcun'opzione se non quella di vincere e di iniziare a fare punti anche per la classifica europea.

For some time now, sitting back and comfortably watching a Milan game has been a luxury that Rossoneri fans cannot afford.

Tonight's match is no exception, as Milan walks away with three points from a rainy San Siro, but one warmed by over 70,000 spectators.

Fonseca’s team, which for the occasion—and perhaps also mindful of the Florence game—decides to bench Leao, Tomori, and Abraham, starts the match with the right attitude and gives itself the 1-0 lead after just 13 minutes.

The goal that puts Milan ahead is scored by Chukwueze, assisted by the ever-present Pulisic.

The match seems to be smooth sailing, with Milan in control and Udinese struggling to impose their game.

However, as mentioned earlier, watching a Milan match in comfort and relaxation is a luxury too great for any fan of this team. At the 39th minute, referee Chiffi, who in the match whistles only 3 fouls against Milan but sanctions them all with cards, punishes Reijnders for a last-man foul.

Without any deliberation or consultation with VAR, the referee decisively pulls out a red card that to everyone seems overly hasty and especially too harsh.

From there, the match inevitably gets complicated, with Milan forced to defend for over 60 minutes (50 regular minutes plus a staggering 12-minute stoppage time) against the relentless attacks of an Udinese side determined to leave San Siro with points in their pocket once again.

Milan risks, suffers, and sacrifices. The defense falters on a couple of occasions but is twice saved by VAR, which disallows Udinese’s equalizer for two objectively razor-thin offsides (and, to be completely honest, this rule needs to be revisited and changed).

The biggest scare comes in the 95th minute. Deep into stoppage time, amidst yet another Udinese siege, Milan’s defense blunders and gifts Kabasele the goal for 1-1. The equalizer is then overturned after a long VAR check due to an offside by the slimmest margin—a fraction of a boot.

In the end, however, it’s the result that matters. And Milan holds out with 10 men until the final whistle, securing the 1-0 win and bagging the three points.

Now it's all focus on Tuesday for the home match against Club Brugge.

A game that has become absolutely crucial for Fonseca’s team in their Champions League campaign, as they have no choice but to win and start collecting points for the European standings.
