MILAN GENOA 0-0. FESTA ROSSONERA ROVINATA

Nonostante la serata di festa per i 125 anni di storia del Club, il Milan ancora una volta offre al proprio pubblico una prestazione mediocre che culmina nel più classico e banale degli 0-0.

A un Maignan totalmente inoperoso (se non per un maldestro retropassaggio di Thiaw che quasi rischia l'autogol) i rossoneri rispondono con due soli tiri pericolosi e una traversa di Morata a due passi dalla porta avversaria.

Diventa difficile commentare un'ennesima prova scialba dei rossoneri, che oggi per l'occasione sfoggiano quantomeno una bellissima maglia celebrativa per ricordare i 125 anni di storia di questo Club.

A nulla valgono nè i tanti tifosi accorsi allo stadio nè la presenza in tribuna di leggende che hanno segnato un'epoca di questa società. Il Milan appare una squadra spenta, priva di stimoli, svuotata emotivamente e anche fisicamente. Lo stesso allenatore appare totalmente incapace di risollevare il morale e di scuotere un qualcosa all'interno dei giocatori.

Non a caso a mettersi in mostra questa sera sono solo i giovanissimi: oltre alla buona prestazione di Liberali e alla grinta mostrata da Camarda infatti, il Milan si gode un ottimo Jimenez che di fatto non fa rimpiangere il Theo Hernandez visto nelle ultime uscite.

Ciò però non basta. Un discreto primo tempo lascia spazio a una desolante e incolore seconda frazione di gioco. La rosa, incompleta e incapace di dare ricambio e riposo in alcuni ruoli, non riesce a trovare neanche questa stasera la qualità e la voglia di imporsi su una squadra in lotta per la salvezza.

A fine partita è 0-0. I festeggiamenti di inizio partita lasciano spazio ai fischi dei tifosi. Fuori lo stadio la Curva Sud (a cui va dato merito di non aver smesso neanche un minuto di incitare la squadra durante il match) contesta ampiamente proprietà e società.

"Vi abbiamo aspettato e sostenuto ad oltranza, della vostra mediocrità ne abbiamo abbastanza. Dirigenti incapaci, società senza ambizioni. Non siete all'altezza della nostra storia".

Despite the festive evening celebrating 125 years of the Club’s history, Milan once again delivers a mediocre performance for its fans, culminating in the most classic and uneventful 0-0 draw.

With Maignan completely untroubled (apart from a clumsy back pass from Thiaw that nearly resulted in an own goal), the Rossoneri offered only two dangerous attempts and witnessed Morata hitting the crossbar from just a few steps away.

It becomes increasingly difficult to comment on yet another lackluster performance from Milan, who at least wore a beautiful commemorative jersey tonight to honor the Club’s 125 years of history.

Neither the presence of the numerous fans in the stadium nor the legends in the stands who marked an era with these colors managed to inspire the team. Milan looked lifeless, devoid of motivation, emotionally and physically drained. Even the coach seemed completely incapable of lifting the team’s spirits or sparking any reaction from the players.

Unsurprisingly, the only players to shine tonight were the youngest ones: aside from a solid performance by Liberali and the determination shown by Camarda, Milan can take solace in an excellent outing from Jimenez, who effectively made fans forget the underwhelming Theo Hernandez from recent matches.

However, this is far from enough. The squad, which is clearly incomplete and unable to provide depth or rest in certain positions, failed once again tonight to deliver the quality needed to overcome a team that is effectively fighting to avoid relegation.

At the final whistle, it’s 0-0. The pre-match celebrations give way to boos from the fans. Outside the stadium, the Curva Sud (to their credit, they never stopped cheering the team on throughout the match) voiced strong protests against the ownership and management.

“We have waited for you and supported you tirelessly. We’ve had enough of your mediocrity. Incompetent executives, an unambitious club. You are not worthy of our history.”
