MILAN CAGLIARI 1-1. NUOVO ANNO, VECCHI PROBLEMI

“Mi aspettavo molto di più. Il primo tempo è stato il più brutto da quando sono allenatore. E’ un problema mentale e fisico, bisogna fare ancora tanto lavoro, alcuni momenti della partita non mi sono piaciuti per niente. Il pareggio è come perdere la partita e sono arrabbiato"


Il Milan ritorna a San Siro riprendendo da dove aveva chiuso lo scorso anno. Un pareggio per 1-1, i fischi dello stadio, l'ennesima prestazione che non arriva e le poche certezze che vanno in frantumi.

Eppure tutto è cambiato in 10 giorni. Dall'allenatore, passato da Fonseca a Coinceiçao, a una Supercoppa vinta in maniera convincente tanto quanto inaspettata in Arabia.

Possibile che questo Milan, capace di ribaltare due partite nettamente più difficili come Juventus e Inter, non riesca a battere in casa un modesto Cagliari 17mo in classifica?

La risposta, che purtroppo sta accompagnando tutta la stagione dei rossoneri da agosto, è si. Il Milan è purtroppo capace di fare ciò.

I rossoneri sono la stessa squadra in grado di ribaltare supercoppe e di andare vincere a Madrid per poi puntualmente steccare la partita delle conferme, quella sulla carta più agevole.

Limiti tecnici? Caratteriali? Di mentalità? Probabilmente uno sciagurato Mix.

Una cosa oggi era certa. Questa sera il Milan, dopo i pareggi di Juventus e Lazio, non aveva che un obbligo: scendere in campo e vincere. Invece, come purtroppo successo diverse volte quest'anno, ciò non è accaduto.

Questa sera le colpe ricadono su Maignan, su Fofana e su Abraham. Tre giocatori che per diversi motivi quest'oggi sono i principali artefici di prestazioni disastrose nonché del pareggio casalingo contro una squadra in lotta per la retrocessione.

La sensazione però è sempre quella. A turno, chi più chi meno, tutti sono colpevoli. Tutti arrivano a commettere l'errore individuale che compromette il risultato dell'intera squadra.

E quando ciò accade è perchè i problemi sono tanti, ben più ampi e ben più profondi.

Da cosa partire? Beh, il mercato è aperto. La fase offensiva dei rossoneri è quanto più innocua possibile e richiede urgenti interventi. Detta in maniera ancora più semplice il Milan fa una fatica incredibile a segnare, addirittura più dell'anno scorso. Sembra incredibile, viste le premesse e le promesse con cui quest'estate si era aperto il mercato, ma a oggi la situazione è questa.

Quello della prima punta non sarà sicuramente la causa di tutti i mali, vero. Ma intanto si potrebbe iniziare da questo, no?

And yet, everything changed in just 10 days. From the coach, switching from Fonseca to Conceição, to a Supercoppa victory that was as convincing as it was unexpected in Arabia.

Is it possible that this Milan, capable of overturning two much tougher matches against Juventus and Inter, can't manage to beat a modest Cagliari sitting 17th in the standings at home?

The answer, unfortunately, which has plagued the Rossoneri all season long since August, is yes. Milan is, sadly, capable of doing just that.

The Rossoneri are the same team that can turn around Supercoppa matches and win in Madrid, only to fail, predictably, in the so-called "easier" games that should confirm their progress.

Technical limits? Character? Mentality? Probably a disastrous mix of all three.

One thing was certain today. Tonight, after the draws by Juventus and Lazio, Milan had only one obligation: to step onto the pitch and win. Instead, as has happened too often this year, that did not happen.

Tonight, the blame falls on Maignan, Fofana, and Abraham. Three players who, for various reasons, were the main culprits of the home draw against a team fighting to avoid relegation.

The feeling, however, remains the same. In turn, to varying degrees, everyone is at fault. Everyone ends up making the individual error that compromises the result for the entire team.

And when that happens, it’s because the problems are many, far-reaching, and deeply rooted.

Where to start? Well, the transfer market is open. The Rossoneri’s offensive phase is as harmless as it could possibly be and urgently requires intervention.
