Esordio positivo per i ragazzi di Massimiliano Allegri, seguiti questa sera a bordo campo dal suo vice Landucci, vista la doppia squalifica in Coppa Italia.

I rossoneri battono 2-0 il Bari davanti a 71 mila spettatori grazie al colpo di testa di Rafa Leao, costretto però a uscire poco dopo per un problema al polpaccio, e al gol di Christian Pulisic.

A San Siro trovano subito spazio dal primo minuto i nuovi acquisti Ricci ed Estupinian, con Modric e Jashari che invece esordiscono in rossonero nel secondo tempo. Tutte prove positive.

Per un manovra offensiva è apparsa già da subito convincente, con un Saelemaekers sulla fascia rientrato in rossonero più determinato che mai, emergono ancora alcune sbavature e fragilità difensive, soprattutto sulle corsie, dove il Diavolo ha concesso alcune imbucate di troppo. Sicuramente Allegri lavorerà su questo.

L'unico aspetto negativo, se così lo si può definire, riguarda proprio San Siro. Le vicende giudiziarie e la forte contestazione della tifoseria nei confronti della proprietà hanno reso l’estate agitata, con la Curva Sud colpita da numerosi daspo e squalifiche. Il risultato è stato uno stadio silenzioso e meno partecipe, ben lontano da quel dodicesimo uomo che per anni ha spinto la squadra e che, come ammesso dagli stessi giocatori, fu decisivo nella conquista del 19º scudetto. Una situazione pesante, impossibile da nascondere e da dover affrontare e risolvere al più presto.

Ora la concentrazione va tutta alla prima di campionato: Milan-Cremonese è ormai alle porte. Sabato prossimo comincia la Serie A.

Winning start for Massimiliano Allegri’s men, followed tonight on the sidelines by his assistant Landucci, due to the double suspension in the Coppa Italia.

The Rossoneri secured a 2-0 victory in front of 71,000 fans thanks to a header from Rafa Leao — who was forced to leave shortly after with a calf issue — and a goal from Christian Pulisic.

At San Siro, starting spots were given to Ricci and Estupinian, while Modric and Jashari came on at halftime.

The attacking play was convincing, with a returning Saelemaekers looking more determined than ever in Rossoneri colors; however, there were still some defensive gaps and imprecisions, especially on the flanks, where the Diavolo allowed too many incursions. This is something Allegri will need to keep working on.

The only real downside, if one must be found, involves San Siro. Judicial issues and the fierce protests from fans against the ownership have made for a tense summer, with the Curva Sud hit by bans and suspensions. The result was a quiet, subdued stadium — a far cry from the twelfth man that has so often pushed the team forward and that, as the players themselves admitted, was decisive in winning the 19th Scudetto. A serious problem, which must be addressed and resolved quickly.

Now the focus turns to the Serie A opener: Milan-Cremonese is just around the corner.
