"Ciao a tutti, siamo qua per presentare il nuovo attaccante del Milan Santiago Gimenez. È un giocatore che abbiamo seguito tanto anche quest'estate, ma non c'era la possibilità di portarlo e cosi siamo partiti per altre direzioni. Oggi però è qua e siamo contentissimi".

Sul mercato di rafforzamento
"Ieri è stata una giornata molto intensa ma molto sotto controllo. Devo ringraziare gli avvocati e la segreteria perchè hanno fatto un grande lavoro e alla fine siamo riusciti a fare tutto quello che volevamo. Abbiamo chiuso Sottil alle 23:58, a un minuto e mezzo dalla chiusura. È semplice, non siamo soddisfatti della situazione in classifica e abbiamo rinforzato la squadra. Cinque fuori e cinque dentro. Ogni ruolo è stata rimpiazzato. Siamo soddisfatti, e cambieremo la situazione".

Sul suo primo vero mercato da protagonista
"Prima di tutto non sono il direttore sportivo del Milan. È stato emozionante, con un countdown che scorre e che devi rispettare. Il mercato è molto dinamico, ho colleghi che stanno facendo un buon lavoro e tutto quello che facciamo lo facciamo come un team. È stato molto interessante".

Sul momento in cui hanno deciso di rivoluzionare la rosa
"Quando abbiamo iniziato il Campionato eravamo convinti di quello che abbiamo fatto. Poi non siamo rimasti soddisfatti della situazione e abbiamo cercato di cambiare portando qualcosa di nuovo. Non con un solo cambio ma con diversi movimenti. Vogliamo ancora di più e abbiamo fame di fare di più. Non c'è un momento specifico".

Sulla cessione di Bennacer
"Lui ha chiesto la cessione, voleva una nuova avventura. Per come sono fatto io se pensi ad altro allora sei già mentalmente fuori dal progetto del club. Poi abbiamo cercato la miglior situazione per noi e per lui".


Sulla contestazione dei tifosi
"Io so che l'ultimo scudetto vinto è stato grazie ai tifosi. Questa squadra con i tifosi è il doppio più forte perchè sono fondamentali. C'è grande differenza tra quando lo stadio è in silenzio o fa rumore. Ci sono certe cose che non posso controllare, ma stiamo lavorando per portare risultati e farli felici perchè sono fondamentali".

Parla ora Gimenez

"Uno dei miei sogni da bambino era giocare in Europa nei più grandi club. Ora l'ho realizzato. Ora il mio obiettivo è lasciare la mia impronta qui al Milan"

Sulla sua condizione fisica
"Si, effettivamente ho avuto un piccolo infortunio ma sono pronto a disposizione"

Sulla trattativa
"Sono un uomo di fede, tutto ciò che succede è per mano di Dio. Ho lasciato che le cose scorressero e sono felice che tutto sia andato bene".

Su quanti gol pensa di poter fare fino a fine dell'anno
"Quello che posso promettere è che farò tutto il possibile. Io non credo nell'individualismo, credo nel gioco di squadra. A livello personale non posso promettere un numero X di gol, ma farò il massimo"

Se c'è un giocatore a cui si ispira
"Non solo perchè è qua, ma per la sua storia e la sua mentalità, mi ispiro Zlatan. La potenza e la passione sono fondamentali".

Quanto è stato difficile convincere il Feyenoord a lasciarlo andare
"A questo forse dovrebbe rispondere Zlatan. L'unica cosa che dovevo fare io era giocare e lasciare tutto nelle mani di Dio. Così Dio ha voluto, e sono contentissimo".

Qual è il significato della maglia numero 7
"Ha vari significati. Era disponibile, ed era di Sheva. Poi nella bibbia è il numero perfetto. Non ho avuto dubbi".

Sull'ambiente che ha trovato a Milano
"Il Milan è come un vestito fatto su misura. C'è tutto. Fame, vittoria, voglia e potenza. Anche io ho questo spirito infuocato e questa voglia di vincere, quindi è un club fatto apposta su misura per me e in cui voglio lasciare il segno".

Sul primo impegno come rivale del Feyenoord
"Sarà un momento bellissimo tornare lì. Nel calcio a volta succede. Sarà un incontro molto speciale con i fan, lo staff, i giocatori, con quella che era la mia famiglia e la sarà per sempre".

Ibrahimovic begins:

"Hello everyone, we are here to present Milan's new striker, Santiago Gimenez. He's a player we've been following for a long time, even last summer, but at that time, we couldn’t bring him in, so we took different directions. But today, he’s here, and we are absolutely thrilled."

On the fans' protests:
"I know that the last Scudetto was won thanks to the fans. This team is twice as strong with them because they are fundamental. There is a huge difference between when the stadium is silent and when it makes noise. There are certain things I can’t control, but we are working to deliver results and make them happy because they are essential."

Now, Gimenez speaks:

"One of my childhood dreams was to play in Europe for one of the biggest clubs. Now I’ve achieved it. My goal is to leave my mark here at Milan."

On his physical condition:
"Yes, I did have a small injury, but I am ready and available."

On the transfer negotiations:
"I am a man of faith; everything that happens is in God's hands. I let things unfold, and I’m happy that everything went well."

On how many goals he thinks he can score this season:
"What I can promise is that I will do everything possible. I don’t believe in individualism; I believe in team play. Personally, I can’t promise a specific number of goals, but I will give my all."

"Not just because he’s here, but because of his story and mentality, I look up to Zlatan. His power and passion are fundamental."

On how hard it was to convince Feyenoord to let him go:
"Maybe Zlatan should answer that. The only thing I had to do was play and leave everything in God's hands. This is how God wanted it, and I’m absolutely delighted."

On the meaning of the number 7 jersey:
"It has several meanings. It was available, and it belonged to Sheva. Plus, in the Bible, it’s the perfect number. I had no doubts."

On the atmosphere he found in Milan:
"Milan is like a tailor-made suit. It has everything—hunger, victory, desire, and power. I have that fiery spirit and that hunger to win, so this club is the perfect fit for me, and I want to leave my mark here."


On his first match against Feyenoord as an opponent:
