LA PRIMA VOLTA CHE SI È PARLATO DEL MILAN – «Ringrazio tutti coloro che hanno fatto lo sforzo per portarmi qui. Ho avuto varie opportunità di tornare in Italia negli ultimi anni, ma quando Zlatan mi ha chiamato e ho parlato con l'allenatore, non c'erano più dubbi. Nessuna squadra mi ha mai desiderato così tanto. Questo mi riempie di orgoglio. Sono una persona che ha bisogno di fiducia. Non ho ancora raggiunto il mio apice in carriera, ho bisogno di persone che credano in me, e lui me lo ha dimostrato. Il Milan è il Milan, è straordinario. È raro trovare un club con un'organizzazione del genere, non vedo l'ora di scendere in campo. Non posso garantire trofei, ma prometto che darò tutto me stesso in campo. Un leader spinge i compagni a dare il massimo».

MODELLI AL MILAN – «Gli ho chiesto magliette e scarpe, non so come abbia fatto a non mandarmi a quel paese. È un orgoglio averlo al mio fianco (Ibrahimovic, ndr). Ho parlato con Kakà, Pato, Shevchenko e Beckham. Quest'estate sono stato con lui e mi ha detto che si percepiva qualcosa di speciale al Milan».

COSA SI ASPETTA DAL MILAN – «Vincere. Fare 50 o 60 gol non mi interessa. Ci sono giocatori che segnano tantissimi gol ma non vincono nulla. Bisogna vincere e godersi il percorso: siamo in una squadra, abbiamo grandi giocatori che ci daranno la possibilità di segnare. Ieri sono stato a Milanello, anche stamattina, ho percepito l'atmosfera e può solo migliorare. Non mi preoccupano i gol, voglio portare a questa squadra la seconda stella. Sono gli ultimi anni della mia carriera, ma sono i migliori».

SI SENTE LA MIGLIORE VERSIONE DI SE STESSO ORA – «Senza dubbio. Non è nel mio carattere dirlo, ma sono molto soddisfatto e felice. Al Milan vedranno che sono stato un buon acquisto»

CHE CAMPIONATO ITALIANO RITROVA – «Il campionato italiano è cresciuto molto, e ogni anno diventa più interessante da seguire. Ricordo com'era dieci anni fa, quando lo guardavo era diverso, c’erano più gol. Battere l’Inter l’anno scorso? Sì, è stata una grande soddisfazione».

CHE EFFETTO FA RITROVARE LA JUVE – «È una sensazione particolare, sono una persona riconoscente e ringrazio la Juventus per tutto quello che ha fatto per me. Gli amici restano tali, ma sul campo si va per vincere, non per cenare insieme. Li ringrazio per quello che hanno fatto in passato, ma adesso inizia una nuova avventura».

MILAN SIMILE ALLA SPAGNA – «Ci sono molte somiglianze tra i giocatori del Milan e quelli della Spagna. Abbiamo giocatori che possono diventare tra i migliori al mondo, e l’allenatore condivide un’idea di gioco simile. Vedo tante affinità, ma la cosa più importante è integrarsi bene nel gruppo. Capiranno che tipo di persona sono io, e non mi preoccupano i gol o il protagonismo».

QUANTO È UN PESO LA 7 E L'EREDITÁ DI GIROUD - «Non devo pensare troppo al peso della maglia. Da quando metti piede a Milanello, sai di essere parte di una grande storia. Olivier è stato mio compagno al Chelsea, e ho avuto l’opportunità di imparare e condividere molte esperienze con lui. Quando il trasferimento stava per essere completato, Ibra mi ha inviato un video che mi ha fatto venire la pelle d’oca: c’erano tutti i gol dei migliori giocatori, molti dei quali hanno fatto la storia del Milan.»

LA TUA ESPERIENZA PUÒ DARE UN FATTORE IN PIÙ AL MILAN E ALLO SPOGLIATOIO - «Bisogna avere la voglia di vincere e sapere come si fa. Agli ultimi Europei ci dicevano che eravamo troppo giovani e che era impossibile vincere: alla fine, è fondamentale crederci e lavorare sodo. Con determinazione e impegno, si può raggiungere qualsiasi obiettivo. Non vedo l'ora di inserirmi nel gruppo e di ricordare a tutti il loro valore, ogni singolo giorno. Mi piace vedere i miei compagni lavorare, sognare e essere felici.»

THE FIRST TIME MILAN WAS MENTIONED

“I thank everyone who made the effort to bring me here. I had several opportunities to return to Italy in recent years, but when Zlatan called me and I spoke with the coach, there was no doubt left.
