Live da Casa Milan la conferenza di presentazione del nuovo allenatore del Milan Paulo Fonseca:

“Voglio ringraziare tutta la società per la fiducia. Sono ambizioso, so che è un club che vuole vincere. Voglio fare parte di questa storia. Zlatan mi ha mostrato lo spazio per i nuovi trofei. Ora sono pronto per iniziare questa strada e non vedo l’ora di cominciare a lavorare“

Sui rinforzi “La squadra è forte, ci aspettiamo qualche innesto ma non troppi perché la base è forte e buona”

Sull’attaccante “Tutti noi sappiamo che abbiamo bisogno dell’attaccante. Tutto insieme stiamo lavorando per trovare quelli con le caratteristiche giuste. Se vogliamo giocare negli ultimi 30 metri, dobbiamo prenderlo con le caratteristiche. Pensiamo di averlo a disposizione in tempo breve”

Sui derby “Quello che posso promettere è lottare in ogni partita per vincer, e con l’Inter non sarà diverso”

Su Leao “È un giocatore importante e decisivo. Mi aspetto sia motivato per giocare con la squadra. È giovane e ha la possibilità di imparare tutti i giorni. Io voglio lavorare per quello”

Su Zirzkee (risponde Ibra) “Capitolo chiuso. Puntiamo su altro e sappiamo chi”

Sui tanti gol presi, e su dove ci sia più urgenza di intervenire tra attacco e difesa “Dobbiamo migliorare tutti assieme, con più equilibrio. Sicuramente al momento la priorità è l’attacco”

Sui tifosi scettici “Voglio lavorare e dimostrare che saremo una squadra ambiziosa e che lavora per vincere. So la responsabilità che ho e so che devo convincere i tifosi. Ma so che i tifosi saranno sempre con noi e ci supporteranno sempre”

Sui terzini “Florenzi è un giocatore del Milan e lo considero come tutti gli altri giocatori della rosa. Theo è fortissimo. È positivo che abbiamo diversi giocatori con caratteristiche diverse”

Sulla nuova idea di centrocampo “Ho un modo di difendere diverso rispetto a quello che è stato fatto gli anni scorsi. Qui in Italia c’è più tendenza di fare 1vs1 uomo contro uomo. Io non sono dell’idea di fare gli 1vs1 a tutto campo. Per questo anche l’approccio dei centrocampisti, anche del mediano, cambieranno”

Live from Casa Milan, the presentation press conference for AC Milan's new coach Paulo Fonseca:

“I want to thank the entire club for their trust. I am ambitious, and I know this is a club that wants to win. I want to be part of this history. Zlatan showed me the space for new trophies. Now I am ready to start this journey and I can't wait to begin working.”

On new signings: “The team is strong, we expect some additions but not too many because the base is solid and good.”

On the striker: “We all know we need a striker. We are working together to find the ones with the right characteristics. If we want to play in the final third, we must have a player with those traits. We believe we will have one available shortly.”

On derbies: “What I can promise is to fight in every match to win, and with Inter, it will be no different.”

On Leao: “He is an important and decisive player. I expect him to be motivated to play with the team. He is young and has the chance to learn every day. I want to work towards that.”

On Zirzkee (answered by Ibra): “Chapter closed. We are focusing on other targets and we know who.”

On the fullbacks: “Florenzi is a Milan player and I consider him like all other players in the squad. Theo is very strong. It’s positive that we have different players with different characteristics.”

On the new midfield approach: “I have a different way of defending compared to what has been done in recent years. Here in Italy, there is a tendency to play 1vs1 man-to-man. I don’t believe in playing 1vs1 all over the pitch. For this reason, the approach of the midfielders, including the defensive midfielder, will change.”
