L'EX OBIETTIVO BERTA VUOLE LEAO ALL'ARSENAL. PREZZO 100 MLN

Un calciatore del calibro di Rafael Leão è da sempre sotto i riflettori del mercato: lo era nei momenti in cui, pur vestendo la maglia rossonera, non riusciva a esprimere tutto il suo potenziale; lo è stato nel periodo in cui è stato eletto miglior giocatore della Serie A; e lo è tuttora, mentre alterna partite di straordinaria qualità ad altre meno incisive. L’ultimo grande club europeo ad aver mostrato interesse per Leão sarebbe l’Arsenal, secondo quanto riportato stamani da Sportitalia nell’editoriale firmato dal collega Gianluigi Longari.

Al centro della vicenda c’è Andrea Berta, il nuovo direttore sportivo italiano dei Gunners, che dopo una lunga esperienza all’Atlético Madrid, ha fatto le valigie per trasferirsi a Londra. Curiosamente, Berta era stato anche nel mirino del Milan, che però aveva mosso i primi passi troppo tardi, quando l’accordo con il club guidato da Arteta era ormai cosa fatta. L’attuale dirigente dell’Arsenal nutre grande stima per un profilo come quello di Leão, e non sarebbe affatto spaventato dalla valutazione di 100 milioni di euro fissata dai rossoneri, cifra a cui potrebbe quantomeno avvicinarsi. Va comunque ricordato che Leão è felice al Milan, dove si sente a casa.

Interestingly, he had once been on Milan’s radar, but the Rossoneri moved too late—by then, a commitment had already been made to Arteta’s club. Berta is a known admirer of Leão and wouldn’t be discouraged by Milan’s €100 million valuation, a figure Arsenal could potentially come close to. That said, Leão is currently happy at Milan and feels at ease with the club.
