Leonardo, ex giocatore, allenatore e dirigente del Milan, ha rilasciato un’intervista al Quotidiano Sportivo, parlando della situazione attuale del club rossonero.

Sull’assenza di “milanismo”

“Se al Milan serve più milanismo? Ma c’era già: si chiamava Paolo Maldini. Da dirigente ha vinto uno scudetto ed è arrivato in semifinale di Champions. Poi è stato mandato via e con lui è sparita una grande parte della passione. Oggi se ne sono accorti tutti: il Milan è vuoto, senz’anima. Ma sono cicli, passerà. Anche perché credo che in società abbiano capito di aver sbagliato.”

On the lack of “Milan spirit”

“Does Milan need more Milan spirit? It was already there: his name was Paolo Maldini. As a director, he won a league title and reached the Champions League semifinals. Then he was let go, and with him, a big part of the passion disappeared. Now, everyone has realized it: Milan is empty, soulless. But these are cycles, it will pass. Also, I think the club has understood they made a mistake.”
