KJAER SALUTA IL MILAN "QUI HO REALIZZATO UN SOGNO"

Oggi pomeriggio anche Simon Kjaer ha annunciato ufficialmente l'addio al Milan. O meglio, l'arrivederci. Perchè come ci tiene lui a dire "Il Milan è stato un sogno. Quando smetterò di giocare a calcio, tornerò a Milano a vivere con la mia famiglia, perché Milano è casa nostra"

Dal suo approdo a Gennaio 2020 Simon ha giocato con la casacca rossonera 120 partite (121 contando la sua probabile presenza Sabato sera per Milan - Salernitana), realizzando 1 gol e 3 assist. Con noi ha vinto il memorabile scudetto 2021-2022.

Da capitano della Danimarca, quest'estate lo attenda un'ennesima sfida Europea ancora ad alti livelli. Ma nel frattempo, riportiamo qui le sue parole nell'intervista di oggi pomeriggio ai microfoni di Milan TV:

"Sono venuto in Italia quando avevo 19 anni al Palermo. Lì ho subito detto al mio procuratore: “Voglio andare al Milan”. C’è voluto un po’ di tempo, però alla fine sono venuto qua e questa è la mia società, il mio luogo e sarà sempre così. Quando sono arrivato qua il Milan era in un periodo molto difficile che durava da tanti anni. Paolo (Maldini, ndr) e Ricky (Massara, ndr) mi hanno portato qua per dare un impatto soprattutto ai giovani, dare continuità e far crescere il gruppo. Penso che il mio lavoro l’ho fatto”

Simon ripercorre la sua carriera al Milan, fermandosi in particolare sull'anno dello scudetto e sul brutto infortunio rimediato in quella stagione:

"Se potessi cambiare una cosa nel mio percorso sicuramente direi l’infortunio. Ma mi ha fatto crescere tantissimo. Ero molto consapevole delle cose che facevo anche prima, ma da allora è tutto il doppio. Se devi fare 10 magari ad un certo punto fai 9, poi 8 e così via. Però ogni volta che vai da 10 a 9 devi capire che hai perso il 10%. E se metti tutto insieme diventa tanto."

Infine, un saluto finale e una richiesta su come voglia essere ricordato:

"Voglio essere ricordato come un difensore che ha lasciato un impatto ai ragazzi. La grinta, queste cose. È una parte di me che porterò sempre, anche quando non giocherò più a calcio. Giocare al Milan è stato speciale, sicuramente per la sua storia. Quando ero un ragazzo il top era il Milan. Anche Maldini ha avuto un impatto su quello che sono perché all'epoca era il difensore più forte al Mondo. Quando tu da bambino segui un difensore seguivi quel tipo di difensori"

"Grazie a tutti. Il percorso che ho avuto qua è un orgoglio, un sogno che mi ha portato gioia, soddisfazione in carriera e nella vita. Quando smetterò di giocare a calcio, tornerò a Milano a vivere con la mia famiglia perché Milano è casa nostra”

This afternoon, Simon Kjaer also officially announced his farewell to Milan. Or rather, see you later, because as he likes to say, "Milan was a dream. When I stop playing football, I will return to Milan to live with my family because Milan is our home."

Since his arrival in January 2020, Simon has played 120 matches in the red and black jersey (121 counting his probable appearance on Saturday evening for Milan - Salernitana), scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists. With us, he won the memorable 2021-2022 championship.

As captain of Denmark, this summer awaits him with yet another European challenge still at high levels. But in the meantime, here are his words from this afternoon’s interview with Milan TV:

"I came to Italy when I was 19 at Palermo. There I immediately told my agent: 'I want to go to Milan".
It took some time, but in the end, I came here and this is my club, my place, and it will always be so. When I arrived here, Milan was going through a very difficult period that had lasted for many years. Paolo (Maldini) and Ricky (Massara) brought me here to make an impact, especially on the young players, to provide continuity, and to help the group grow. I think I did my job.”

Simon looks back on his career at Milan, particularly focusing on the championship year and the serious injury he suffered that season:

"If I could change one thing in my journey, I would certainly say the injury. But it made me grow a lot. I was very aware of the things I did before, but since then, it’s been double. If you have to do 10, maybe at some point you do 9, then 8, and so on. But every time you go from 10 to 9, you have to understand that you’ve lost 10%. And if you add it all up, it becomes a lot."

Finally, a final farewell and a request on how he wants to be remembered:

"I want to be remembered as a defender who left an impact on the young players. The grit, those things. It’s a part of me that I will always carry, even when I no longer play football. Playing for Milan was special, certainly for its history. When I was a boy, Milan was the pinnacle. Even Maldini had an impact on who I am because at the time, he was the best defender in the world. When you followed a defender as a child, you followed that type of defender.”

"Thank you, everyone. The journey I had here is a source of pride, a dream that brought me joy and satisfaction in my career and life. When I stop playing football, I will return to Milan to live with my family because Milan is our home.”
