JUVENTUS MILAN 2-0. LA SCONFITTA DI UNA STAGIONE

La Juventus batte il Milan con un netto 2-0 che complica non poco il percorso e la classifica dei rossoneri.

Mbangula prima e Weah dopo stendono il Milan in un secondo tempo ai limiti dell'horror per la formazione di Conceicao.

Dopo una prima frazione a tratti convincente chiusa però sullo 0-0, con diverse clamorose occasioni capitate sui piedi di Reijnders, di Leao e sulla testa di Theo Hernandez, il Milan è rientrato in campo con tutt'altro spirito ed intensità.

Un secondo tempo disastroso sia per l'approccio, sia a livello tecnico, sia, soprattutto, a livello mentale. Gli zero tiri in porta nei secondi 45 minuti sono l'emblema del disastro della seconda frazione di gioco.

La rosa, falcidiata da continui infortuni e anche oggi impossibilitata di schierare Thiaw, Loftus-Cheek, Pulisic, Chukwueze e Morata (quest'ultimo per squalifica), appare quantomai corta e in carenza di energia.

Emblema sono i due centrocampisti Fofana e Reijnders, che spremuti oltre qualsiasi logica per carenza di ricambi offrono da alcune settimane a questa parte prestazioni opache e totalmente prive di mordente e qualità. Prestazioni che vanno via via spegnendosi sempre di più durante lo svolgimento della partita, dove fatica e pesantezza crescono inesorabilmente con il passare dei minuti.

Una rosa quella del Milan costruita male, con poche alternative e con gli ultimi strapagati innesti fatti nelle più recenti sessioni di mercato assolutamente privi della qualità necessaria per poter giocare con continuità in Club di livello.

Una rosa che non segna, con prime punte acquistate già sapendo i loro limiti e già sapendo non avessero la quantità di gol necessaria per essere titolari in una squadra come il Milan.

Dispiace, tanto. Anche perchè tutto ciò era ampiamente prevedibile ed immaginabile.

La Supercoppa, vinta in maniera sorprendente due settimane fa, non è basta nè a far drizzare le antenne agli addetti ai lavori nè a convincere la società a intervenire sul mercato, nonostante conti nettamente a posto e nonostante i 12 milioni incassati proprio dalla sua vincita.

E così Juventus Milan, big match quantomai decisivo tra due grandi squadre che inseguono affannosamente il quarto posto valevole per la Champions League, si è rivelata una disfatta.

Una disfatta per la rosa, per l'allenatore, per la dirigenza e per i tifosi.

Nel mentre, per domani è stato fissato un incontro proprio tra Juventus e Milan per Tomori. Evidentemente nonostante tutto la priorità a oggi è comunque quella di cedere piuttosto che di integrare.

The most emblematic figures are midfielders Fofana and Reijnders, who, overworked beyond reason due to the lack of replacements, have been delivering lackluster performances devoid of drive and quality for several weeks now. Their contributions fade increasingly during games as fatigue and heaviness grow inexorably minute by minute.

Milan's squad is poorly built, with few alternatives and recent transfer market additions entirely lacking the quality required to play consistently at a high-level club.

A squad that doesn’t score, with forwards purchased despite already knowing they didn’t have the goal-scoring capacity needed to be starters for a team like Milan.

It’s frustrating, deeply so. Especially because all of this was widely foreseeable and predictable.

The Super Cup, won surprisingly two weeks ago, bringing in €12 million, wasn’t enough to convince the club to act in the transfer market.

And so Juventus-Milan, a crucial big match between two great teams desperately chasing fourth place and a Champions League berth, turned into a disaster.

A disaster for the squad, the coach, the management, and the fans.

Meanwhile, tomorrow, Juventus and Milan will meet to discuss Tomori. Evidently, despite everything, the priority today is still selling rather than strengthening.
