Dopo un inizio di anno complicato, costellato da errori anche pesanti (basti pensare a quello commesso a Rotterdam contro il Feyenoord), Mike Maignan è tornato a essere "Magic", sfoderando parate determinanti che hanno permesso al Milan di ottenere risultati cruciali nelle ultime settimane. Per questo motivo, al termine di questa stagione, il portiere francese dovrebbe tornare a incontrarsi con la dirigenza rossonera per discutere del suo rinnovo contrattuale, sospeso qualche mese fa proprio a causa di prestazioni non all’altezza.

Le basi dell’intesa ci sono già: prolungamento fino al 2028 con uno stipendio da 5 milioni di euro l’anno. Tuttavia, come scrive stamattina Tuttosport, la situazione deve ancora ricevere il via libera ufficiale dal club. Giorgio Furlani avrebbe voluto affrontare la questione insieme al nuovo direttore sportivo, ma il fatto che questo processo di selezione stia durando più del previsto potrebbe "costringere" l’amministratore delegato rossonero a finalizzare l’accordo per il rinnovo di Maignan con l’attuale gruppo dirigenziale.
