Terminata la stagione abbiamo fatto un recap delle 52 partite giocate da settembre a oggi.

Abbiamo così stilato il nostro pagellone di fine anno.

Oggi, mercoledì 29 maggio, terminiamo con gli attaccanti.

ATTACCANTI

Luka Romero S.V. Ceduto in prestito all’Almeria a gennaio dopo appena 155 minuti giocati. Disputa una discreta stagione in Spagna. Classe 2004, verrà rivalutato quest’estate.

Giroud 7,5. La sua unica grande colpa è stata quella di essere stato considerato a inizio anno il titolare inamovibile, il tutto nonostante i suoi 37 anni. Resta comunque il miglior realizzatore della stagione con 17 gol e 9 assist. Da gennaio arriva inesorabile il calo fisico che lo porta a una seconda parte di stagione decisamente più opaca. Decisivi purtroppo gli errori dal dischetto in Champions League contro il Dortmund e la traversa presa nei quarti d'andata di Europa League contro la Roma. Resterà comunque per sempre nei nostri cuori per tutte le emozioni che ci ha fatto provare. Au Revoir Oliviero, grazie di tutto.

Leao 7. Al di là dei suoi numeri positivi (15 gol e 12 assist), anche quest’anno è mancato lo step finale necessario per consacrarsi definitivamente. Oltre ad un digiuno di gol di quattro mesi, Rafa infatti pecca ancora di continuità. Ciò accade sia tra una partita e l’altra, sia all’interno degli stessi 90 minuti. Dotato di grande tecnica, rapidità e fisicità, vive ancora di troppe fiammate isolate. Raramente ha inciso da subentrato, non riuscendo mai a caricarsi la squadra sulle spalle. Ciò detto, resta comunque uno dei migliori della stagione nonché della rosa. Ha tutto per essere considerato il fuoriclasse della squadra. Proprio per questo la nostra speranza è quella di vederlo ancor più decisivo, cattivo e determinante.

Pulisic 7,5. A mani basse miglior acquisto per distacco del mercato estivo. Miglior stagione realizzativa della sua carriera con 15 gol e 10 assist nonostante l’adattamento sulla fascia destra a lui meno congeniale. Assieme a Leao è il giocatore ad aver ricevuto più premi MVP Emirates (6 a testa). Sintomo sia delle sue buone prestazioni sia dell’amore sbocciato subito tra lui e i tifosi. Unica pecca quella di non essere quasi mai riuscito ad incidere in un big match. Sicuramente si rifarà l’anno prossimo.

Jovic 6,5. Arrivato senza grandi aspettative nelle ultime ore del mercato, termina la stagione con 9 gol realizzati. Ne segna uno ogni 137 minuti giocati, un primato in questa statistica. Metà dei suoi gol arrivano oltre l’80’. In scadenza già in questo giugno, il suo destino è ancora tutto da scrivere complice un ingaggio importante e un contratto completamente da riscrivere.

Okafor 6. È stato acquistato e presentato come vice di Leao, nonostante venisse da una stagione al Salisburgo giocata come prima punta. Complice la concorrenza nel ruolo non ha avuto grande spazi, subentrando ben 30 volte a gara in corso. Mette comunque a referto 6 gol e 3 assist in soli 1010 minuti giocati. Ci regala 6 punti con due gol decisivi a Udine (suo il 3-2 al 93’ minuto) e a Roma contro la Lazio (suo l’1-0 decisivo all’88’).

Chukwueze 5,5. Paga nel suo ruolo la concorrenza di Pulisic, l’MVP della stagione. Arrivato con il titolo di acquisto più oneroso del mercato, subisce la fisicità e i pochi spazi che il Campionato italiano offre (specie se paragonato a una Liga spagnola da cui lui proviene). Cresce nettamente nel finale di stagione. Ci auguriamo che con l’anno di esperienza fatto possa proseguire il suo percorso diventando ancor più determinante per l’anno prossimo. Per lui comunque 3 gol e 3 assist in questa prima stagione rossonera.

FORWARDS

Luka Romero N/A. Loaned to Almeria in January after just 155 minutes played. He had a decent season in Spain. Born in 2004, he will be re-evaluated this summer.

Giroud 7.5. His only major fault was being considered the indisputable starter at the beginning of the year, despite his 37 years. Nevertheless, he remains the top scorer of the season with 17 goals and 9 assists. From January onwards, his physical decline inevitably led to a more lackluster second half of the season. He will forever remain in our hearts for all the emotions he made us feel. Au Revoir Oliviero.

Leao 7. Beyond his positive numbers (15 goals and 12 assists), he once again missed the final step needed to establish himself definitively. Besides a four-month goal drought, Rafa still lacks consistency. This is evident both between matches and within the 90 minutes of a game. He rarely made an impact as a substitute, never managing to carry the team on his shoulders. That said, he remains one of the best players of the season as well as in the squad. For this reason, we hope to see him even more decisive and determined.

Pulisic 7.5. By far the best summer transfer. He had the best scoring season of his career with 15 goals and 10 assists, despite adapting to the less familiar right wing. Along with Leao, he is the player who received the most Emirates MVP awards (6 each). This indicates both his good performances and the immediate love affair between him and the fans. His only flaw was that he almost never managed to make an impact in a big match. He will surely redeem himself next year.

Jovic 6.5. Arrived with low expectations in the last hours of the transfer window. Scored 9 goals, one every 137 minutes played. He leads the season in this statistic. Half of his goals came after the 80th minute. With his contract expiring this June, his future is still undecided due to a significant salary and a contract that needs a complete rewrite.

Okafor 6. He was signed and presented as Leao's backup, despite coming off a season at Salzburg where he played as a center-forward. Due to competition for the position, he didn't have much playing time, coming on as a substitute 30 times. Nevertheless, he recorded 6 goals and 3 assists in just 1010 minutes played. He secured 6 points for us with two decisive goals in Udine (his the 3-2 in the 93rd minute) and in Rome against Lazio (his the decisive 1-0 in the 88th minute).

Chukwueze 5.5. He suffers in his role due to competition from Pulisic, the MVP of the season. Arriving as the most expensive signing of the transfer window, he struggled with the physicality and limited spaces of the Italian league. He improved towards the end of the season. We hope that with the experience gained this year, he can become even more decisive next season.
