Matteo Gabbia ha rilasciato delle dichiarazioni a DAZN dopo la sfida Genoa-Milan. Ecco quanto ha detto:

Come mai questo Milan sembra sempre aver bisogno di uno scossone per reagire?

“Non condivido questa lettura, di recente non è stato così. Contro il Venezia siamo stati noi a prendere l’iniziativa, lo stesso a Udine. Chi subentra offre sempre un grande apporto, è un lavoro collettivo che dobbiamo portare avanti fino alla conclusione della stagione.”

Leao è sotto eccessivo esame?

“Non deve dare peso a queste critiche, è un talento straordinario. Deve ascoltare l’allenatore e chi davvero tiene a lui e desidera vederlo crescere ancora di più. È un fuoriclasse, lo proteggiamo e ci aiuta a portare a casa le vittorie.”

La finale di Coppa Italia può influire sul giudizio globale della stagione?

“Il nostro obiettivo è cercare di vincere ogni incontro, alla fine dell’anno tireremo le somme. Dobbiamo restare concentrati e fare bene fino all’ultimo, poi vedremo cosa riusciremo a ottenere.”

Why does this Milan always seem to need a jolt to wake up?

“I don’t agree with that view; lately it hasn’t been like that. Against Venezia we were the ones who took the initiative, same in Udine. Whoever comes on always provides great support, it’s a team effort we need to carry through to the end of the season.”

Is Leao being criticized too harshly?

“He shouldn’t listen to those criticisms; he’s an incredible player. He needs to pay attention to the coach and those who truly care for him and want to see him reach an even higher level. He’s a champion, we cherish him, and he helps us win matches.”

Does the Coppa Italia final change the overall judgment of the season?

“Our goal is to try to win every match; at the end of the year, we’ll take stock. We need to stay focused and do well until the end, then we’ll see what we achieve.”
