FURLANI: "STAGIONE FALLIMENTARE. CONDIVIDIAMO LA DELUSIONE DEI TIFOSI"

Giorgio Furlani, CEO rossonero, ha parlato a Mediaset dopo la deludente sconfitta in finale di Coppa Italia. Queste le sue dichiarazioni:

"Innanzitutto fatemi dire complimenti al Bologna per questo traguardo storico. Poi voglio dire tre cose. Non possiamo negare, questa è una stagione fallimentare. Nonostante la vittoria in Supercoppa siamo lontano dai traguardi che ci eravamo prefissati. Abbiamo ancora due partite, cerchiamo di chiudere al meglio. Anche se siamo distanti dai traguardi che ci eravamo messi ad inizio anno. Terza cosa, condividiamo la delusione dei tifosi. Sono stati fatti vari errori e bisognerà guardare avanti e correggerli per tornare dove ci aspettiamo di essere noi dirigenti e i tifosi”.

Ora è il momento delle decisioni forti?

“In questo momento grossa delusione per questa partita, per un trofeo che potevamo vincere. Non mi sento adesso di rispondere. Ci sono ancora 12 giorni e due partite, prenderemo decisioni e poi vedremo”.

Hai avuto un contatto con Cardinale? Come continua il progetto Milan?

“Non c’è stato un contattato nelle ultime due ore ma sono sicuro che lui la pensa come me, sia per oggi che per tutta la stagione. Il progetto del Milan lo conosciamo tutti, la risposta alla domanda la sappiamo tutti”

Ora il mercato può toccare tutti i giocatori?

“Siamo a mezzanotte e mezza dopo una brutta sconfitta, non ti rispondo adesso”.

Giorgio Furlani, the Rossoneri CEO, spoke to Mediaset following the painful defeat in the Coppa Italia final. These were his comments: “First of all, congratulations to Bologna for achieving this historic milestone. Then, I want to emphasize three points. First: there's no denying this has been a failed season. Even with the Supercoppa win, we’ve fallen far short of the goals we set. We still have two games left, and we’ll aim to finish strong. But the fact remains — we’re far from where we wanted to be. Third point: we fully understand and share the fans’ disappointment. Mistakes were made, and we’ll need to fix them to bring Milan back to where the club and its fans deserve to be.”

Asked whether strong decisions are coming, Furlani replied: “There’s a lot of frustration right now for a trophy we could have won. I don’t feel it’s the right moment to respond. There are still 12 days and two matches left — we’ll decide afterwards.”

On his connection with Gerry Cardinale, he said: “We haven’t spoken in the last two hours, but I’m sure we’re aligned, both regarding today and the season as a whole. We all know what the Milan project is about, and we all know the answer to that question.”

Finally, when asked whether the transfer market could involve everyone: “It’s half past midnight after a tough loss — I’m not going to answer that now.”
