FURLANI: "NON SIAMO CONTENTI DEI RISULTATI. DS NON ANCORA CHIUSO"

Giorgio Furlani, CEO rossonero, ha parlato a Mediaset nel pre partita di Milan-Inter di Coppa Italia. Queste le sue dichiarazioni:

L’importanza di questo trofeo per il Milan:

“È una partita molto importante, il derby è una partita speciale con un peso specifico diverso, in più in una semifinale di una coppa che è un obiettivo da inizio stagione”.

Sul DS. C’è un’intesa di massima con Paratici?

“Innanzitutto noi non siamo contenti dei risultati sportivi di questa stagione. I risultati sportivi sono il centro del club, stiamo lavorando per la stagione che viene per avere risultati migliori. All’interno di questa attività ci sono vari filoni, varie preparazioni che stiamo facendo. Non abbiamo ancora chiuso o deciso con nessuno, non commento su ruoli o soggetti però ci stiamo preparando perché vogliamo migliorare la parte sportiva”.

Su Ibrahimovic. Rimarrà nel progetto Milan?

“Zlatan forse è sembrato assente a voi ma per me non lo è stato. Siamo sempre in contatto, lavoriamo assieme in totale armonia. All’interno è chiaro chi sono le persone, chi fa che cosa e come lavoriamo assieme. Forse all’esterno c’è un po’ di confusione. Ibra rimarrà in questo progetto, lavoriamo bene assieme, per me non è cambiato nulla rispetto a qualche settimana fa”.

Che identikit deve avere il nuovo DS?

“Non abbiamo avuto un DS tradizionale nelle ultime due stagioni, abbiamo separato il ruolo in varie persone nel club. Adesso quello che stiamo valutando, decisioni non sono state ancora prese, di prendere un DS più tradizionale e riconsolidare quei ruoli in una persona. Rimarrà comunque un gruppo di lavoro, si lavorerà insieme con l’unico obiettivo di avere successo sul campo”.

The importance of this trophy for Milan:

“It’s a very important match, the derby is a special game with a different specific weight, and even more so in a semifinal of a cup that has been a goal since the beginning of the season.”

On the sporting director. Is there a general agreement with Paratici?

“First of all, we are not happy with this season’s sporting results. Sporting results are at the core of the club, and we are working for next season to achieve better results. Within this effort, there are various aspects and preparations we are making. We have not yet closed or decided with anyone, I will not comment on roles or individuals, but we are preparing because we want to improve the sporting side.”

On Ibrahimovic. Will he remain part of the Milan project?

“Zlatan may have seemed absent to you, but to me, he wasn’t. We are always in contact, we work together in total harmony. Internally, it’s clear who the people are, who does what, and how we work together. Maybe from the outside, there is some confusion. Ibra will remain in this project, we work well together, and for me, nothing has changed compared to a few weeks ago.”

What profile should the new sporting director have?

“We haven’t had a traditional sporting director in the past two seasons; we split the role among various people within the club. Now, what we are evaluating—no decisions have been made yet—is whether to appoint a more traditional sporting director and consolidate those roles into one person. There will still be a working group, and we will work together with the sole objective of achieving success on the pitch.”
