FONSECA: "THEO? NON FACCIO NOMI. ORA SI VA AVANTI"

Ecco le parole del Mister Paulo Fonseca alla vigilia della sfida casalinga con il Genoa prevista per domani domenica 15 dicembre alle 20:45.

Come sono stati i giorni dopo Milan-Stella Rossa?

"Per me era facile dopo la partita parlare solo della vittoria, o delle 4 vittorie consecutive in Champions League. Domani AC Milan fa 125 anni, dovremo essere all'altezza della storia. Per me con quell'atteggiamento non potevamo essere all'altezza di un club che ha fatto la storia del calcio. Ho parlato con i giocatori con cui volevo parlare. Siamo pronti per un giorno all'altezza del Milan".

Gestione particolare per Theo?

"In questo momento non ho niente da aggiungere a quello che ho detto. Non dico qui dei nomi con cui ho parlato. Comunque li ho guardati negli occhi e gli ho detto cosa penso, ora dobbiamo andare avanti".

L'umore della squadra:

"Dopo la partita siamo andati negli spogliatoi e tutti abbiamo avuto lo stesso feeling. Per me questo è stato positivo, un primo step per capire cos'è successo. Abbiamo parlato, la squadra ha lavorato bene e l'atmosfera è buona come sempre. Siamo una famiglia, dobbiamo risolvere i problemi nello spogliatoio ed è quello che abbiamo fatto".


Domani gioca Theo? Ha sentito l'appoggio della proprietà?

"Domani giocherà la squadra che io penso sia la migliore per poter vincere. Oggi non sono pronto a dire le mie scelte. Sapete che siamo andati alla festa del settore giovanile, ci siamo parlati e ho sentito l'appoggio della società come sempre".

Come mai la scelta di parlare pubblicamente?

"Io dico sempre la verità, è difficile nascondere quello che sento dopo una partita. Penso che devo essere sempre onesto. A volte penso che sono messaggi importanti da far passare. Ho avuto questa necessità, voi non siete all'interno e non sapete tutto: ho avuto questa necessità".

Quindi questi ragazzini domani giocheranno?

"Questo progetto del Milan Futuro è un progetto importante per far avere i calciatori del settore giovanile in prima squadra. Lavoriamo con loro dal primo giorno, domani ne vedremo qualcuno in campo".

"After the game, we went to the locker room, and we all shared the same feeling. For me, this was a positive sign, a first step toward understanding what happened. We talked, the team worked well, and the atmosphere is as good as ever. We are a family, and we need to resolve problems within the locker room, which is exactly what we did."

"Tomorrow, the team I believe is best suited to win will play. Today, I’m not ready to reveal my choices. You know we attended the youth sector celebration, we talked, and I felt the club’s support as always."

Why the decision to speak publicly?

"I always tell the truth. It’s hard for me to hide what I feel after a match. I think I always have to be honest. Sometimes, I feel there are important messages that need to be conveyed. I had that need; you are not on the inside and don’t know everything—I had that need."

Will those young players play tomorrow, then?

"This Milan Future project is an important initiative to bring youth sector players into the first team. We’ve been working with them from day one, and tomorrow we’ll see some of them on the field."
