DI MARZIO: "SALTATO PARATICI. HA PESATO LA SQUALIFICA"

Nel pomeriggio di Sky Sport 24 è intervenuto anche Gianluca Di Marzio per parlare della delicata questione legata al casting del nuovo direttore sportivo del Milan:

"Al momento le parti hanno deciso di interrompere questo tipo di relazione, di rapporto che si era creato. Ripeto, senza disguidi, anzi condividendo quello che poteva essere il futuro anche con figure come Moncada, come lbra, come appunto Furlani che sarebbe rimasto assolutamente amministratore delegato. Paratici non è stato un direttore sportivo che si sarebbe presentato, dicendo "Faccio tutto io, voglio quello e quell'altro". No aveva assolutamente accettato quello che era il piano di condivisione di lavoro, ma era questa sua operatività ridotta fino al 20, 21 luglio che ha portato il Milan a rivalutare ancora meglio quella che appunto era la sua situazione e a decidere di di soprassedere. Adesso vedremo se tornerà in pole position Igli Tare, che è stato ballottaggio a lungo con Fabio Paratici fino a appunto qualche qualche giorno fa, e che fino a pochi minuti fa non era stato ulteriormente contattato, perché il Milan credo si prenda, ma almeno fino a lunedì martedì quindi si vorrà prendere il weekend prima di riparlare con i vari candidati. Un nome che abbiamo sempre fatto è Tony D'Amico dell'Atalanta, che però è sotto contratto comunque con l'Atalanta, e quindi a proposito di operatività non potrebbe immediatamente prendersi carico del Milan del futuro. Quindi o si prendono un direttore sportivo libero, come nel caso di Tare, o comunque migliora aspettare la fine della stagione per liberare un eventuale direttore sportivo che sotto contratto con un altro club".

In the afternoon segment of Sky Sport 24, Gianluca Di Marzio also spoke about the delicate matter of Milan's search for a new sporting director. Fabio Paratici seemed to be the chosen one, yet he will not take on this role in the Rossoneri management starting next season:

"At the moment, both parties have decided to end this relationship that had been established. I repeat, without any disagreements—on the contrary, sharing a vision of the future with figures like Moncada, Ibra, and Furlani, who would have remained CEO. Paratici was not the kind of sporting director who would have come in saying, 'I’ll do everything, I want this and that.' No, he had fully accepted the collaborative working plan. However, his limited ability to operate until July 20-21 led Milan to reassess the situation and ultimately decide to move on.

Now we will see if Igli Tare will return as the frontrunner. He had been in contention with Fabio Paratici until just a few days ago, but as of a few minutes ago, he had not yet been contacted again. I believe Milan will take at least the weekend, until Monday or Tuesday, before resuming talks with the various candidates.

One name that has always been mentioned is Tony D’Amico from Atalanta, but he is still under contract with the club. Therefore, in terms of operational capability, he wouldn't be able to immediately take charge of Milan’s future. So, the options are either to hire a free agent, like Tare, or to wait until the end of the season to free a sporting director currently under contract with another club."
