“DE-MALDINIZZAZIONE”: L’ACCUSA DI BOBAN ALLA SOCIETÀ

Questa mattina è uscita la seconda parte dell’intervista esclusiva a Zvonimir Boban, sul canale YouTube “Milan Hello” di Andrea Longoni.

Cosa mi dici di Bennacer? Dopo l’infortunio non è più stato lo stesso?

“Giocatore super sottovalutato. Gli infortuni fanno parte del calcio. È un grande giocatore: ruba e tocca più palloni di tutti, rispetto ai minuti che gioca.

Ero andato a vederlo ai tempi di Giampaolo. Anche Wenger (che ho chiamato) mi disse di prenderlo.

Trovai anche un’intervista di Cristiano Ronaldo dove faceva i complimenti a Bennacer, quando ancora giocava all’Empoli.”

Su Scaroni invece, cosa mi dici?

“È una persona che non dovrebbe mai essere nel calcio, non c’entra nulla.

Non conosceva nemmeno la mia storia.

Una volta dovevo andare al suo posto a un’assemblea di Lega. Mi chiese il curriculum. L’ho cacciato dall’ufficio e mandato a quel paese.”

E su Furlani?

“Giorgio Furlani è milanista, un vero milanista. Il problema è che è stato costruito così: è un businessman, un uomo di fondi.

Risponde a capi che non hanno né passione né i valori del Milan.

Si affida a Moncada, pensando che sappia tutto di calcio.”

Invece, sulla questione Direttore Sportivo, che ne pensi?

“Se mai dovesse arrivare un DS, non credo avrà un ruolo importante. Sarà limitato dalla società, con i paletti che ci sono.”

Sul ruolo di Ibra?

“A Ibra voglio molto bene. È un fratello calcistico, sono affezionato per quello che ha fatto per noi e per il Milan (gennaio 2020).

Ora mi dispiace vederlo così, anche con questa ultima delegittimazione.

Mi aspettavo se ne andasse subito.”

Di Cardinale?

“Non mi interessa minimamente.”

Stanno smantellando la squadra dello Scudetto. Come te lo spieghi?

“È come se volessero fare una de-Maldinizzazione.

Avrebbero dovuto tenere quella rosa e aggiungere qualcosa, tipo Osimhen e un terzino destro.

Invece, hanno smantellato.”

Paolo Maldini lo senti? Come sta?

“Sicuramente soffre nel vedere questa situazione.

Paolo ha dato tutta la vita per il Milan.”

Tornerà al Milan con gli arabi?

“Non so se tornerà. Sicuramente lui è pronto.

Ma anche se mi avesse detto qualcosa riguardo a un suo ritorno, non te l’avrei svelata qui. Sono sincero.”

E tu? Tornerai mai al Milan?

“No. La mia storia con il Milan è finita.

Il mio cerchio è giusto che si chiuda alla Dinamo Zagabria, la squadra per cui ho sempre tifato fin da bambino.”

Se il Milan vincesse la Coppa Italia, come giudicheresti la stagione?

“Stiamo parlando del Milan. Questa è mediocrità.

Non salva niente. Zero.

Anzi, è triste pensarlo. Può salvare la stagione del Bologna, non del Milan.

Ai miei tempi ci facevano capire di uscire subito dalla Coppa per dedicarci a Scudetto e Champions.

Poi certo, sarebbe meglio vincerla, per i giocatori.”

Chi vorresti come allenatore?

“Avrei voluto Conte, come tanti, ma con questa società sarebbe stato difficile.

L’ultimo Allegri non mi è piaciuto, anche se lo rispetto.

Prenderei comunque un allenatore che faccia un calcio da Milan.”

Come si esce da questa situazione?

“Spero che un giorno arrivi una proprietà più ambiziosa, che capisca di calcio e conosca i valori del Milan.

Oppure che l’attuale società capisca i suoi errori e metta dirigenti capaci.”

What do you think about Bennacer? Has he never been the same since his injury?

“He’s a hugely underrated player. Injuries are part of football. He’s a great player—he recovers and touches more balls than anyone else compared to minutes played.

I went to see him back when Giampaolo was coach. Even Wenger (who I called) told me to sign him.

I also found an interview with Cristiano Ronaldo where he praised Bennacer, back when he was still at Empoli.”

And what about Scaroni?

“He’s someone who should never be in football. He has nothing to do with it.

He didn’t even know my story.

Once, I was supposed to attend a League meeting in his place. He asked me for my résumé. I kicked him out of the office and told him to get lost.”

What about Furlani?

“Giorgio Furlani is a Milanista, a true Milan fan. The problem is he was built this way—he’s a businessman, a fund man.

He answers to people who have neither passion nor Milan’s values.

He relies on Moncada, thinking he knows everything about football.”

And the Sporting Director situation—what’s your take?

“If a Sporting Director does arrive, I don’t think he’ll have a real role. He’ll be limited by the club, with all the restrictions in place.”

What about Ibra’s role?

“I care a lot about Ibra. He’s like a football brother to me. I’m attached to him for what he did for us and for Milan (January 2020).

Now it hurts to see him like this, especially with this latest sidelining.

I expected him to leave right away.”

What about Cardinale?

“I don’t care in the slightest.”

They’re dismantling the Scudetto-winning team. How do you explain that?

“It’s like they’re trying to ‘de-Maldinize’ the club.

They should’ve kept that squad and added a player like Osimhen and a right-back.

Instead, they tore it down.”

Do you still talk to Paolo Maldini? How is he?

“I’m sure he’s suffering seeing the club like this.

Paolo gave his whole life to Milan.”

Will he return if the Arabs take over?

“I don’t know if he’ll come back. He’s definitely ready.

But even if he had told me something about a return, I wouldn’t reveal it here. I’m being honest.”

What about you? Would you ever return to Milan?

“No. My story with Milan is over.

My circle is meant to close at Dinamo Zagreb, the team I’ve supported since I was a child.”

If Milan wins the Coppa Italia, how would you rate the season?

“We’re talking about Milan. This is mediocrity.

It doesn’t save anything. Zero.

In fact, it’s sad to even think that. Maybe it saves Bologna’s season, not Milan’s.

Back in the day, we were told to get out of the Coppa early to focus on the Scudetto and the Champions League.

Still, better to win it—for the players’ sake.”

Who would you want as coach?

“Like everyone else, I wanted Conte. But it would’ve been hard to imagine him working with this club.

I didn’t like the latest version of Allegri, even though I respect him.

Anyway, I’d bring in a coach who plays real Milan-style football.”

How do we get out of this situation?

“I hope one day we get a more ambitious ownership—someone who understands football and knows Milan’s values.

Or that the current one realizes its mistakes and hires capable directors.”
