CRISTAO: "IL VIAGGIO DI THEO È ARRIVATO ALLA FINE"

Il giorno dopo la pessima espulsione di Theo Hernandez, costata al Milan l'accesso agli ottavi di Champions League, Simone Cristao prende la parola sulla situazione del terzino rossonero.
Ecco le parole del Direttore di Radio Rossonera nel suo Editoriale del Mercoledì:
"Penso che il viaggio di Theo sia abbastanza arrivato alla fine. Penso si sia arrivati alla conclusione di un bel viaggio. La parabola di Theo è stata altissima e luccicante per tre stagioni. La prima, quella del suo arrivo, dove ci ha fatto completamente innamorare di un terzino che non si vedeva da tempo al Milan. La seconda, quella del ritorno in Champions League, dove forse è stato il suo apice. La terza, quella dello scudetto, dove ha trascinato il Milan con gol importantissimi pesantissimi e bellissimi. Ha poi fatto una buona stagione l’anno successivo, quella del quinto posto e della semifinale di Champions. Da lì in poi ha iniziato ad alternare qualcosa di più buono a qualcosa di meno buono. In questa stagione ha alternato qualcosa di molto meno buono a qualcosa ogni tanto di buono.
Siamo arrivati come detto alla fine di un viaggio, che forse è giusto che si chiuda. Oramai ci si sta un po’ tutti trascinando. C’è una grandissima parte di suoi demeriti in questo, perchè è innegabile ci sia una buona parte di demeriti di Theo in quelle che sono le sue prestazioni. Al di là di tutto ciò che lo circonda infatti, Theo è un professionista e non può fare questo tipo di prestazioni come ha invece fatto nell’ultimo anno/anno e mezzo.
A questo, non posso non dirlo perché sarei disonesto con me stesso, so che c’è stato anche dell’altro che ha contribuito a picconare una già sua scarsa prestazione sul campo e uno scarso rendimento rispetto agli anni passati. Anche la scarsa dimostrazione avuta verso di lui con una mancata offerta di rinnovo da parte della società nella scorsa estate, e non ultima la cessione nel mercato di gennaio avallata dalla società stessa, so che hanno molto influito sul suo morale.
Questo non giustifica assolutamente le prestazioni di Theo, ma è semplicemente per dare un quadro generale su quella che è stata l’avventura di Theo soprattutto negli ultimi 12/24 mesi. Avventura che è evidente sia arrivata definitivamente al capolinea”

The day after Theo Hernández’s disastrous red card, which cost Milan a place in the Champions League Round of 16, Simone Cristao spoke out about the Rossoneri full-back’s situation.
Here are the words of the Radio Rossonera Director in his Wednesday Editorial:
"I think Theo's journey has pretty much come to an end. I believe we've reached the conclusion of a beautiful chapter. Theo's trajectory was incredibly high and brilliant for three seasons.
The first, his arrival, where he made us fall in love with a full-back of a kind Milan hadn’t seen in years. The second, the return to the Champions League, where he probably reached his peak. The third, the Scudetto-winning season, where he carried Milan with crucial, heavy, and stunning goals.
He then had a solid season the following year, finishing fifth and reaching the Champions League semifinals. From that point on, his performances started fluctuating—some good, some less so. This season, he has shown far more inconsistency, with more poor performances than good ones.
As I said, we've reached the end of a journey, and perhaps now is the right time to close it. It feels like it’s dragging on. A large part of this is on him because, undeniably, Theo bears a good share of the responsibility for his performances. No matter what surrounds him, Theo is a professional, and he cannot deliver the kind of displays he has over the past year or year and a half.
That said, I can't ignore another factor, or I’d be dishonest with myself. I know there were external elements that further weakened his already declining performances compared to previous years. The club’s failure to offer him a contract renewal last summer and, more recently, its willingness to approve his sale in the January transfer window have undoubtedly affected his morale.
This does not excuse Theo’s performances, but it helps provide a complete picture of his journey, particularly over the last 12 to 24 months—a journey that has clearly reached its definitive end."
