CONCEICAO: "DELUSIONE PER TUTTI"

Sergio Conceiçao ha rilasciato alcune dichiarazioni a Mediaset al termine della finale di Coppa Italia persa contro il Bologna. Ecco le sue parole:

"Una notte buia, il Milan era partito anche bene… Poi si è spenta la luce. Che cosa è andato in cortocircuito?"

"Non sono assolutamente d’accordo. Il primo tempo è stato equilibrato. Nel secondo tempo avremmo potuto fare di più, dopo il gol del Bologna si è giocato molto poco. Non voglio trovare alibi con l’arbitro. Ma non voglio dirlo, altrimenti mi accusano di trovare scuse. Dovevamo fare di più in una partita del genere. Ora cerchiamo di finire con dignità questo campionato e pensare alla Roma. Mi dispiace per i tifosi e per tutti quelli che erano entusiasti della squadra. Delusione per tutti, potevamo fare di più, sono partite che si decidono nei dettagli. Loro hanno fatto gol, noi no".

Rifaresti le stesse scelte di formazione?

"Alla fine siamo tutti bravi. Prima della partita ho fatto quello che dovevo fare, sono stato giusto con me stesso, con la preparazione che abbiamo fatto. Ora è diverso, sappiamo cosa non ha funzionato, ma questo fa parte del calcio".

I difensori hanno fatto grande fatica ad impostare. Non riuscivate mai a ripartire. Cosa ti riferisci quando parli di delusione?

"Questo sì, avevamo il portiere libero ma ci siamo precipitati a giocare in una forma diretta: avevamo preparato la costruzione in maniera diversa. Nei primi 25 minuti non siamo stati neanche male, poi avremmo potuto fare di più in questo senso. È stata una partita molto combattuta, in ogni duello si doveva mettere tutto e pensare che poteva essere decisivo. Penso sia un po’ lo specchio di questa stagione. Devo fare i complimenti al Bologna perché ha fatto una buona gara sotto questo aspetto".

L’anno prossimo sarà ancora al Milan?

"Ci vediamo domenica a Roma".

"I totally disagree. The first half was balanced. In the second half, we could have done more. After Bologna’s goal, the game slowed down. I don’t want to make excuses about the referee. But I won’t say it, or they’ll accuse me of making excuses. We should have done more in a game like this. Now we just need to finish the season with dignity and think about Roma. I feel for the fans and for everyone who was excited about the team. It’s a disappointment for everyone, we could have done more. These games are decided by the details. They scored, we didn’t."

Would you make the same formation choices again?

"In the end, we’re all good. Before the match, I did what I had to do. I was honest with myself, with the preparation we’ve done. Now it’s different, we know what didn’t work, but that’s part of football."

The defenders struggled greatly to build from the back. You never seemed to break out. What do you mean by disappointment?

"Yes, we had the goalkeeper free, but we rushed to play in a direct style. We had prepared for the build-up differently. In the first 25 minutes, we weren’t bad, but we could have done more in that regard. It was a very combative game. Every duel required everything, and we had to think it could be decisive. I think it’s a bit of a reflection of this season. I have to give credit to Bologna because they played well in this regard."

Will you be at Milan next year?

"See you Sunday in Rome."
