COMUNE DI SAN DONATO: "SOSPESO ACCORDO CON IL MILAN PER LO STADIO"

Il Sindaco Francesco Squeri oggi pomeriggio ha incontrato i rappresentanti di Regione Lombardia, Durante la seduta si è valutato di sospendere la procedura in corso anche nell’ottica di valutare eventuali sviluppi alternativi.

«Per noi rimane fondamentale – ha dichiarato il Sindaco Francesco Squeri – mantenere attiva la progettazione in corso sulla stazione ferroviaria di San Donato e prevedere per l’area San Francesco uno sviluppo di qualità dalla forte connotazione sportiva. In questo senso abbiamo avuto conferma da parte del Milan che, qualora dovesse andare avanti l’ipotesi dello stadio a Milano, resterebbe comunque vivo un loro interesse su San Donato. In particolare, sarebbero intenzionati alla realizzazione di un polo sportivo destinato al settore giovanile e a quello femminile. Un eventuale sviluppo di questo tipo ci vedrebbe favorevoli in quanto valorizzerebbe un’area attualmente fonte di criticità dal punto di vista della sicurezza. Con piacere abbiamo registrato da parte di RFI, FS Sistemi Urbani l’interesse a partecipare all’Accordo di Programma anche in caso di rimodulazione del progetto».

In particular, they would be interested in building a sports center for the youth and women's sectors. We would be in favor of a possible development of this type as it would enhance an area that is currently a source of critical issues from a safety point of view. We have been pleased to note that RFI and FS Sistemi Urbani are interested in participating in the Program Agreement even in the event of a remodeling of the project."
