CAPITOLO ABRAHAM - SAELEMAEKERS. IL PUNTO SULLA DOPPIA TRATTATIVA

Il nuovo direttore sportivo del Milan avrà da subito diverse questioni importanti da affrontare una volta ufficialmente in carica. Tra i dossier più delicati figura il futuro di Tammy Abraham in rossonero. L’attaccante inglese, in questo finale di stagione, sta vivendo un momento positivo, con prestazioni convincenti arricchite da gol e assist — l’ultimo proprio nella trasferta di Udine — spesso decisivi.

Qualora dovesse mantenere questo rendimento, il Milan potrebbe seriamente valutare l’idea di trattenerlo. Tuttavia, la questione è tutt’altro che semplice, anche perché i discorsi con la Roma coinvolgeranno con ogni probabilità anche Alexis Saelemaekers.

Sul tema, Il Corriere dello Sport ha fatto il punto questa mattina, sottolineando come “entrambi sono in prestito secco, entrambi si sono trovati benissimo nelle rispettive nuove squadre, ed entrambi desiderano restare dove sono.” I valori dei cartellini sono simili: il Milan valuta Saelemaekers intorno ai 25-30 milioni, mentre la Roma chiede leggermente meno per Abraham. Non è esclusa nemmeno l’ipotesi di un rinnovo dei prestiti, che permetterebbe a entrambe le società di rinviare le decisioni economiche a momenti più favorevoli.

Di certo se ne riparlerà a fine stagione, una volta che il Milan avrà ufficializzato il nome del suo nuovo direttore sportivo.

Milan’s new sporting director will have plenty on his plate as soon as he officially takes charge. One of the most delicate matters to address is the future of Tammy Abraham in a Rossoneri shirt. The English striker has been in fine form in this final stretch of the season, putting in strong performances complemented by goals and assists — the latest coming in Udine — often proving decisive.

If he continues at this level, Milan may seriously consider keeping him. However, the situation is easier said than done, especially since talks with Roma are also expected to involve Alexis Saelemaekers.

On the matter, Il Corriere dello Sport reported this morning: “both players are on dry loans, both have settled in well at their new clubs, and both are eager to stay where they are.” The transfer fees are comparable: Milan values Saelemaekers at around €25–30 million, while Roma is asking slightly less for Abraham. A renewal of both loans is not off the table either, as a way to postpone financial decisions to a more stable time.

This will all be discussed at the end of the season, once Milan has officially appointed its new sporting director.
