CAPELLO: "NEL MILAN DI OGGI SALVO SOLO DUE GIOCATORI"

Nella lunga intervista rilasciata alla Gazzetta dello Sport, Fabio Capello, ex tecnico rossonero, ha parlato così della rosa del Milan: "Ne salvo solo due, Pulisic e Reijnders. Tutti gli altri, per un motivo o per l’altro, hanno reso sotto la sufficienza. Al di là del valore del singolo giocatore, mi pare che al Milan il problema sia stato innanzitutto l’atteggiamento generale. Quante volte abbiamo visto un calciatore perdere palla e non rientrare? E quante, invece, inseguire con voglia l’avversario, con la bava alla bocca perché si intuisce una situazione di pericolo per la squadra?

Maignan, Theo e Leao? Beh, hanno reso e stanno rendendo quanto ci si aspetterebbe dal loro potenziale? Di sicuro no. Poi c’è da capire il perché. Si erano auto-esaltati prima o si sono depressi ora? La mia impressione è che negli anni precedenti avevano in società e in panchina persone in grado di toccare le corde giuste per fare loro rendere di più. Mentre oggi no...".

In a lengthy interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, former Milan coach Fabio Capello shared his thoughts on the Rossoneri squad: "I would only save two players, Pulisic and Reijnders. All the others, for one reason or another, have performed below par. Beyond the individual quality of the players, I believe Milan’s main issue has been their overall attitude. How many times have we seen a player lose possession and not track back? And how often have we seen someone chase down an opponent with real determination, sensing the danger to the team?"

Regarding Maignan, Theo, and Leao, Capello was blunt: "Have they performed up to their potential? Definitely not. The question is, why? Were they overconfident before, or are they struggling now? My impression is that in previous years, the club and coaching staff had people who knew how to push the right buttons to get the best out of them. Today, that’s no longer the case..."
