BEPPE SALA: "NO DI MILAN E INTER ALLA RISTRUTTURAZIONE DI SAN SIRO"

Si è tenuto questa mattina l'incontro tra Comune di Milano, Inter, Milan e WeBuild per quanto riguarda la proposta di una ristrutturazione massiccia dello stadio Meazza.

Così si è espresso il sindaco di Milano Beppe Sala al termine del meeting:

“No dei club a ristrutturazione Meazza, i club vogliono nuovo stadio a San Siro, a tre condizioni. Noi chiediamo abbandonino i progetti di San Donato e Rozzano.

Oggi non posso chiedere il passo indietro formale su San Donato e Rozzano, quando risponderemo alle loro richieste sarò costretto a chiederlo. Bisogna agire molto rapidamente, io ci metto la faccia ma ci metto la faccia se ho la certezza che non si cambi idea un'altra volta.

Credo che ci siano tutte le premesse. L'investimento è molto alto, parliamo di un nuovo stadio, l'acquisto del vecchio e delle aree, è una cifra molto significativa. Le due proprietà sono molto solide e ora lavorano insieme"

The meeting between the Municipality of Milan, Inter, Milan, and WeBuild regarding the proposal for a major renovation of the Meazza Stadium was held this morning.

This is how the Mayor of Milan, Beppe Sala, commented at the end of the meeting:

"The clubs have said no to the renovation of Meazza. The clubs want a new stadium in San Siro, under three conditions. We are asking them to abandon the projects in San Donato and Rozzano.

Today, I cannot formally ask them to step back from San Donato and Rozzano, but when we respond to their requests, I will be forced to ask for it. We need to act very quickly. I'm putting my name on the line, but only if I am sure there won't be another change of mind.

I believe all the conditions are in place. The investment is very high; we are talking about a new stadium, the purchase of the old one, and the surrounding areas—it is a very significant amount. The two ownerships are very solid and are now working together."
