ATALANTA MILAN 2-1. TRENTA MINUTI E POI IL BUIO

Charles De Ketelaere e Lookman firmano la quarta sconfitta in campionato per il Milan, che torna a casa da Bergamo battuto per 2-1. A nulla vale il gol del momentaneo pareggio di Alvaro Morata.

Come nella più classica delle storie, l'ex della partita e il giocatore pronto al cambio realizzano i due gol che stendono la formazione di Fonseca.

A nulla servono i primi venti minuti di gioco approcciati e giocati bene, con coraggio e con idee. Non appena i rossoneri riescono a trovare il gol del pareggio, il Milan si spegne. 30 minuti che sono troppo pochi per poter pensare di fermare un'Atalanta che viaggia a ritmo scudetto e che con uomini, idee e programmazione è meritatamente diventata una solida realtà. Realtà a cui bisognerebbe solo fare i complimenti, fermandosi a osservare e a imparare.

Dalla trasferta di questa sera rimane poco da portarsi a casa se non l'amara consapevolezza che il Milan di questa stagione non è banalmente abbastanza forte (tecnicamente e psicologicamente) per poter lottare per i vertici della classifica.

L'analisi della partita è molto facile. Al netto dei primi buoni venti minuti, non c'è niente che poi funziona come dovrebbe.

Tre semplici considerazioni.

Uno. Gasperini prepara benissimo la partita e il centrocampo a due di Fonseca viene letteralmente bloccato e disinnescato da una massiccia linea bergamasca che riesce a occupare il campo decisamente meglio rispetto a quella rossonera.

Due. L'ottima pressione dei bergamaschi rende di fatto il Milan incapace di imbastire alcuna trama di gioco. Dal trentesimo in poi gli ospiti non realizzeranno più un'azione offensiva degna di essere chiamata tale.

Tre. Quelli che dovrebbero essere i leader tecnici e carismatici ancora una volta non brillano nè per qualità nè per leadership.

Ciliegina sulla torte le solite disattenzioni in fase difensiva che permettono all'Atalanta di realizzare entrambi i gol su palla da fermo.

Il risultato di tutte queste situazioni? Il Milan ancora una volta esce dal campo meritatamente sconfitto. E le posizioni Champions, unico triste obiettivo realmente perseguibile per questa stagione, si allontanano terribilmente.

Charles De Ketelaere and Lookman sealed Milan's fourth defeat of the season, as they returned home from Bergamo beaten 2-1. The temporary equalizer from Alvaro Morata was of no consequence.

In the most classic of stories, the former player of the match and the player ready for a substitution scored the two goals that downed Fonseca's team.

The first thirty minutes, played well with courage and ideas, proved useless. As soon as the Rossoneri managed to find the equalizer, Milan faded away. Thirty minutes are simply too few to think of stopping an Atalanta side that is moving at a championship pace and has become a solid reality with its players, ideas, and planning. A reality that deserves compliments, simply by stopping to observe and learn from them.

From tonight's away match, there is little to take away except the bitter realization that this Milan team is not simply strong enough (both technically and psychologically) to fight for the top spots in the standings.

The match analysis is very simple. Aside from the first good thirty minutes, nothing works as it should.

Three simple observations:

One. Gasperini prepares the match perfectly, and Fonseca's two-man midfield is literally blocked and neutralized by an Atalanta line that occupies the field much better than the Rossoneri's.

Two. The excellent pressing from the Bergamaschi effectively renders Milan incapable of constructing any attacking play. From the 30th minute onwards, the visitors will not produce a single offensive action worthy of being called one.

Three. Those who should be the technical and charismatic leaders once again fail to shine either in terms of quality or leadership.

The cherry on top is the usual defensive lapses that allow Atalanta to score both goals from set pieces. The result of all these situations? Milan once again exits the field deservedly defeated. And the Champions League spots are drifting further away.
