ALLEGRI A DAZN: "CI SIAMO ALLENATI SULLA FASE DIFENSIVA. MODRIC TROPPO INTELLIGENTE"

Al termine della sfida tra Milan e Napoli, conclusa 2-1 nonostante l’inferiorità numerica, Massimiliano Allegri ha parlato ai microfoni di DAZN condividendo le sue impressioni sulla partita.

Sul match, il tecnico ha dichiarato:
“Sono contento, era un test importante. Partita molto difficile contro un Napoli che ha grandi qualità. Abbiamo fatto un grande primo tempo, nel secondo tempo purtroppo l’espulsione ed il rigore ci ha costretto a giocare… diciamo che ci siamo allenati bene per la fase difensiva. È la dimostrazione che quando difendi in un certo modo difficilmente prendi gol. È solamente l’inizio, bisogna goderci questa serata di vittoria e da domani dobbiamo pensare all’ultima partita prima della sosta”.

Alla domanda sull’orgoglio e sullo spirito collettivo della squadra, ha risposto:
“Bisogna continuare a lavorare, abbiamo fatto un passettino con questa vittoria che abbiamo ottenuto contro un grande Napoli. Se fosse finita in pareggio non sarebbe successo niente viste le cose in campo. Bisogna continuare a lavorare, partite di sofferenza così ce ne saranno ancora nel campionato, se giochi con questo spirito è più facile portarle a casa. Leao è in ritardo di condizione, Nkunku sta crescendo di condizione: ci sono buone cose per poter far bene”.

Sull’origine dell’impostazione tattica, ha raccontato:
“Sinceramente dalla prima partita in estate con l’Arsenal: giocavamo con i due trequarti, il doppio mediano e Leao di punta. Poi dipende dalle caratteristiche dei due trequartisti: se è più difensivo diventa una mezzala, se è più offensivo diventa un trequartista. Abbiamo sempre lavorato così, ogni tanto cambiamo in allenamento per vedere se ci sono soluzioni diverse che durante l’anno potranno servire”.

A proposito dell’inserimento di Leao in questo sistema, ha osservato:
“Davanti abbiamo Leao, Pulisic, Gimenez, Nkunku più Loftus-Cheek che balla tra centrocampo e attacco. Ne abbiamo cinque per due/tre posti ed è importante che tutti migliorino la condizione, soprattutto Leao che è stato 45 giorni fermo e non aveva tanto minutaggio. Mi dispiace per Nkunku che non è entrato perché è un giocatore di grande qualità e nei momenti di gestione è molto bravo. Gimenez ha lavorato molto bene. Ma l’importante è che chi va in campo corra tanto perché poi al 60esimo subentra una nuova partita, oggi è stato differente perché siamo rimasti in dieci”.

Sul rendimento di Modric, reso rapidamente centrale nel gioco, ha detto:
“Luka è un giocatore talmente intelligente… Nel campionato italiano è un giocatore che davanti la difesa ti dà più qualità e si gestisce meglio. È troppo intelligente anche nelle chiusure. Chi gioca davanti alla difesa di solito dovrebbe rubare più palle d’intercetto, e le palle d’intercetto rispetto alle palle di contrasto ti aprono il contropiede. Lui è molto bravo su questo. Anche Ambrosini era bravo quando lo mettevo davanti la difesa. Un po’ meno qualità ma era bravo”.

Riguardo alla gara contro la Cremonese e alle critiche ricevute, ha spiegato:
“Il calcio è strano. Lì abbiamo subito due gol sugli unici due cross subiti, Maignan non ha fatto neanche una parata. Paradossalmente avevamo subito più col Bari che con la Cremonese. Il calcio è strano, con la Cremonese abbiamo avuto due disattenzioni che ci sono costate i gol. Poi i giocatori più giocano insieme e più migliorano”.

Quando gli è stato chiesto se pensasse già alla Juventus, ha risposto:
“No, no, assolutamente. Domenica è una bella partita, meravigliosa. Ne ho fatte un po’ di qua e un po’ di là. Prima al Milan, poi alla Juve, poi di nuovo alla Juve e di nuovo di qua. È anche divertente”.

After the clash between Milan and Napoli, which ended 2-1 despite being a man down, Massimiliano Allegri spoke to DAZN and shared his thoughts about the match.

Leao is behind in fitness, Nkunku is getting into shape: there are good signs to do well.”

About the idea behind this style of play, he explained:
“Honestly from the first summer match with Arsenal: we were playing with two attacking midfielders, two holding midfielders and Leao up front. Then it depends on the characteristics of the two attacking midfielders: if one is more defensive he becomes a mezzala, if he is more offensive he stays as a trequartista. We have always worked like this, sometimes we change in training to see if there are different solutions that might be useful during the season.”

On how Leao fits into all this, he commented:
“Up front we have Leao, Pulisic, Gimenez, Nkunku plus Loftus-Cheek who moves between midfield and attack. We have five players for two or three spots, and it’s important that everyone improves their condition, especially Leao, who was out for 45 days and didn’t have many minutes. I’m sorry for Nkunku not coming on because he’s a player of great quality and very good at managing phases of the match. Gimenez worked very well. But the important thing is that whoever goes on the pitch runs a lot because then at the 60th minute a new match begins, today it was different because we went down to ten.”

On how quickly he made Modric fit into his style, he noted:
“Luka is such an intelligent player… In Italian football, playing in front of the defense he gives you more quality and manages himself better. He’s extremely smart in defensive cover too. Whoever plays in front of the defense usually should win more intercepted balls, and intercepted balls compared to tackles open up the counterattack. He’s very good at that.
